My third contribution to the Theme Music group, recorded on Thursday August 30, 2012.
This was great fun. Started out at 9:30am with a click track and bass. Next was an accordian patch and the lead vocal. From there, instruments and vocals were piled on with Spector-ian glee. There was no preconceived plan and no time for second guessing- simply followed where the thing led me and then moved on to the next track. By dinner time it was finished, 41 tracks in all. Quickly threw the video together after the kids went to bed. All in all, a great day.
With the exception of the delay line on the lead vocal I've been following the Mitchell Froom / Jeff Lynne rule of no reverb, filling space with vocals or instrumentation instead of reflections.
