I know this series had a few shortcomings, but one thing it never lacked was heart. So many generous souls truly gave of themselves for others. That's why this series never gets old. ❤

I honestly have an infinite amount of respect for these truly incredible parents. They’re clearly doing an INCREDIBLE job! This is the first time I’ve ever seen a family actually do such an amazing job of controlling the illness and it’s the first time I’ve EVER seen them able to keep the child this slim. It’s truly a miracle. It shows how hard they’ve really worked. I have a cousin who has it and tbh his mother did a terrible job. She was the exact opposite of these incredible people. Her son has been morbidly obese from birth. He’s so fat he’s been in industrial chair’s since he started school. I wish every parent was this dedicated to their children. They’re such an incredible and inspirational family and their story should be known far and wide. They should be helping to write the gold standard for care to help others suffering this awful condition. Especially since this was filmed so long ago, their son is now an adult and it would be amazing to know how they got through hat transition from child to teenager to adult. It’s something so many struggle with and it would really help them to know how someone else got through it. I hope they are doing better now 🙏
