I really want PP to restructure his contract and become a safety / fill in corner. He is so damn football smart. He should also go into couching should he desire it. He had some bad beats this year no doubt, but he showed the intelligence to almost never be in a bad position.

Football isn't even the close to same game as it was when Montana, Elway, Marino, or even when Brady, Big Ben, Manning, Aikman, and Favre came into the league. The physicality & mental toughness required to play a full season back then (even with fewer games) was so MUCH more. I mean everyone knows the current rules favor OFFENSE and are there to drive up points. Back in the day Receivers weren't running free across the middle?!?! They'd get their head taken off! Patrick is absolutely great for sure but if he were drafted by the Bears instead of Mitch T. he wouldn't even have sniffed the Super Bowl, Andy Reid is a QB guru.

I would say Brady is the greatest QB of all time right now but if Patrick Mahomes gets another SB ring next season and gets 3 rings in a row he would be # 1 all time in my book regardless of the fact that Brady would still have more rings in total. Getting 3 rings in a row trumps everything. That would be absolutely crazy!

I personally prefer not to say the greatest of all time but of their generation. Not because talent rule changes. Please study history. There are other qb with similar accolades . The game is designed to have offense make plays and defense to be more mindful of making big hits and vulnerable to penalties.

You guys both play(ed) for the Steelers. Yet you both forgot #12 won 4 in 6 years. Called his own plays. Had a take no shit from any player as a coach. Not to mention he played when you could hit QB's like any other player. I'm pretty sure he was MVP in 2 Super Bowls.
