@@NachoChannel2010 Godzilla was actually in danger of being cancelled for good a couple of times, but a more likely hypothetical would have been long hiatuses. Both vs. Destoroyah and Final Wars were supposed to have 10 year breaks afterward but Toho brought it back out early because of American movies both times - G1998 and G2014. The first time to prove Godzilla doesn't actually suck after the critical bomb of the first, and to prove that they can keep up after the second.
