Lol, my parents sure agree with the 'silence is suspicious' in a house with kids lol. Once when I was 2 and it was just me, the house was very quiet. My mom (who hadn't quite learnt this lesson yet) was pleased and sat down to do some reading. She says she distinctly remembers thinking what a welcome surprise it is that I was being so quiet and out of sight for once and she could relax for a bit. Only in the evening when my dad got home did they realise I had somehow gotten into my dad's things and had scribbled all over my passport in bright red ink. 😂😂 My parents never made the same mistake again lol. They went on to have 2 more kids and I'm 23 now, but I STILL hear this story from time to time. 😂😅

Oh my god, I'm laughing so hard at 1:06. My kids are still little, and I learned, from my wife, that when they're out of sight and it's quiet, that's when you'd better go check on them! So funny to see such a clear reminder that moms knew it 50 years ago. Means it was the same 500 and 5,000 years ago, for sure!

When my sister's child was about 1 year old or so. My mother and sister and I were in the kitchen. Suddenly my mom shot up, ran back into the bedroom and we followed her... she was saving my niece from choking... after she coughed up whatever was blocking her breathing I said, "How did you know????" She said, "Whenever children are totally quiet, something is wrong. You need to immediately run to them." She was right... quiet children is not normal. 1:06

@melissacooper42823 жыл бұрын
Of course! She realized that it's not realistic. Kids are not perfectly good 100% of the time. Anyway The adults were worried about them when they acted too well behaved because they knew that it's not normal behavior! What bothers me is that the kids think it's their responsibility to keep their parents married just because "Harried and Hopeless" was blaming the step-children for his or her marriage troubles! I'm surprised that Greg and Marcia didn't ask their parents in the first place!

I think the situation here is that the step-children probably despise "Harried and Hopeless " because they feel that he or she has replaced their real parent. Maybe that's why they're acting out. I believe the reason that "Harried and Hopeless " wrote to Dear Libby for help was because he or she couldn't confide in his or her spouse. I sense that the new children's parent has that attitude that they could do no wrong. But I still don't see that the person has to "pretend " to love the new children. Unlike the Brady family this family is way too dysfunctional!

I can't understand their logic at first. To keep their parents married the kids decided to be perfectly behaved kids. First off "Harried and Hopeless " should not have blamed the step-children for his or her marriage problems. I don't really know what went on at the home of "Harried and Hopeless " but it sounded like that the kids were acting out because they despised having an outsider telling them what to do.

What is the toy Bobby is playing with on the girls bedroom floor? Anyone know? He pulls it up to his eye like it’s a film negative.
@morganjanelle4282 Жыл бұрын
@zebrastreet9993 Back then, there was a toy called the "View-Master". It was red and resembled binoculars. It came with reels that had small images that you could insert into the View-Master, hold it up to the light while looking through it, and see the image as if it was a big photo. There was a button you could press that would go to the next photo on the reel. The reels for the View-Master were _round,_ but the square things that Bobby held up to his eye and looked through, were the same kind of thing. He was holding it up to his eye and looking through it to see whatever picture was on that particular square.
