Oh my goodness!! U R such an ANGEL🧡I also am interested in taking ABSN courses at either Mercer or at Emory as I got recommended by some coordinator. In the mean time I found you out , I mean your channel!! Appreciate for making this great and helpful video. Being short of information, I felt quite frustrated. Ur lecture is very good to know what I was curious. Thanks again! Bless you 🙏

This is so helpful, thank you so much! I definitely need the video about the financial options because I start this fall and this is the only part that has me concerned.

New subbie! So glad I found your channel. I took my pre-reqs at Mercer & I like the online format. I actually applied for the ABSN for Fall 20 but got discouraged cause I didn’t have a good admissions counselor. Applied to traditional BSN but didn’t get in. I’m re-applying for the ABSN Spring 21! So glad you broke down the full program & what to expect. Praying I get in this time around 🙏🏽

Would you be willing to make a video on how you were able to get through the ABSN program with a young child. I’m in a similar situation and I was interested to know how balancing accelerated nursing school and motherhood was for you financially, mentally and emotionally. Thank you

Finally, I have been waiting for you to give an overview of Mercer ABSN program. I am about to start taking my prerequisites and hope to start in 2021. Didn’t know that the location was different from the main campus. Where did you take Nutrition and Pathophysiology?

@@notme3240 Thank you. I have been doing some of my prerequisites at Gwinnett Tech in Georgia and Rio Salado. Didn’t realize that Emory had a 12 month ABSN program also. Thought it was 16 months.

I love your videos!! They are so informative. I have a question regrading the clinicals. Are those online or would they be in an actual clinic? I'm worried about how things will go with the COVID-19 stuff going on. I believe you stated you were in your final semester when this all hit. Did they still have the lab and simulations going on during that time? I know that when I start in the fall things may be different depending on how they want to move forward with the pandemic, but just wondering if anything changed with you still being a student during that time. Thank you!!!

Hey! When i was in school we had to stop going to the hospitals because of the pandemic so everything moved to online format. But again this was when it first happened so the response was very different. I’m not sure what they will do for the small I think it will ultimately depend on the pandemic

Hi First off thanks for your videos very helpful I have a question about Mercer prerequisites. Mercer requires Human Anatomy I and II with lecture and lab- does that equate to 4 classes? I’m asking because Emory only asks for Human Anatomy I and II with lab (they didn’t mention lecture) I’m looking into accelerated BSN programs because nursing would be my 2nd career and I’m starting prerequisites in the Fall.
@after9976
@after9976 4 жыл бұрын
DJ 89 hey thanks for your question. So both schools have the same requirement. I believe Emory list A&P 1 and 2 as 4 credit hours, that’s because A&P lecture is worth 3 credits and lab is 1 credit for a total of 4 credits that complete the requirement. So there’s no difference in the prerequisites there! And yes it’s essentially 4 classes but some schools group the lecture and lab together so technically 2 classes. Hope that helps!

i actually applied and was admitted for “early acceptance” but they told me the price of tuition for the program & girl i almost fell out 😂😂😂😂 i ended up going with another program for this fall, but the admission process was the smoothest of them all. i loved my admissions counselor. i’d love to see a video of your study method in school, with any external resources that you used & that you’d recommend!

That would have to be determined case by case I’m sure but I don’t see why not! The program is session based so as long as you complete the session I don’t see why not

Would you recommend this program overall? Do you think you were prepared well enough for the boards and actually being a nurse? If everything is online and there are no classrooms then when do you go to campus and get hands on learning? Is that enough? Sorry for all the questions lol thanks
@after9976
@after9976 4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for all the questions! I don’t want to speak on how prepared i felt until I take NCLEX because I feel like it’s unfair to really know. There are opportunities to come in to campus for simulations and labs, I’ve mentioned this more in other videos. I personally believe that this program is made for a certain kind of student it’s not for everyone. That’s for sure.
