Hi interesting documentary. My grandad was a survivor for nearly 4 years as a Japanese pow. From Singapore to shanghai,walked the F Force march through the jungle then kanxhanaburi. His friend died not long after the f force march but he kept his leather wallet with his photos in along with other that sadly passed away and my grandad ended up bringing tbe wallet home and is still in the family today and writing a book about his incredible survival in world war 2 and straight from a war in Palestine before hand. Thankyou for your documentary im just off out to find the monument and chunka cutting as it was canp 5 my grandad was in and I was always interested in the 2nd wooden bridge.

Your knowledge of the sites and history that surrounds the tragedy behind the construction of the death railway is commendable, I am absulutely made up to have come across your KZfaq channel, 10 out of 10!! , I have visited many place's shown in your videos up and to Kinsayok, my intentions are that hopefully I'll be visiting many more on my next visit to Kanchanaburi later this year. The Thai Burma railway has been of a great interest to me for many years, I had the privilege to have personaly known someone who worked on the railway, a larger then life character who served with the Cambridgeshire regt who landed at Singapore only to be taken prisoner just a matter of days after arriving. RIP. Thank you again for sharing this excellent channel...

The water level in the lake above the dam is so low now that on Google maps you can see the tracks at Nikke station. Have a look. I hope to get back to Thailand very late this year, or early next year. By that time it will have been 4 years since my last visit. Thanks again, and all the best to you.

Thank you very much for your very interesting Video. I know the area quite well and I was thinking from the bridge I do not have to watch any videos, I was completely wrong! By watching your video, I learned many new remarkable things regarding the old Railway around the area at Kanchanaburi City. As well I remember how the Kanchanaburi main Train Station looked in 1998 with the old Steam Locomotive including the Water Tanks standing there. Thank you very much for your good work and for publishing that information!
