What have you made of James McClean’s performances at Wrexham?

I love McClean's play, but when him and Mendy are on the pitch together, I feel the Reds have had their best games!

I would like to bring Reds fans back to before JMcL showed up to our club- We head Elliot Lee taking corners and frankly he was tragic- fans desperately asked for anyone to come in to take corners- James is so class on service from corners amongst his other attributes so ably hilited by the og Wrexham fan Liam. I love James mcLean aha!

Ha ha ha scores first goal today !! He must of seen this to give him inspiration! I was in sauna with him in Wrexham just before Xmas, such a decent bloke proper down to earth !! And obviously one hell of a player!!

Macca is our man

Excellent in the centre and links so well with SPM and Ollie, best position tbf with his energy and quality. Away from home prefer Jacob Mendy as LWB, bit more pace to get us out of the opposition press.

Solid signing, great player but can’t gloss over his yellows. He’s on the verge of a second suspension for accumulating them, and we can’t afford to lose him for the 2 games he will get if he gets one more yellow in either of the next two games. For someone with his experience, he needs to be smarter, simple as. That yellow on Saturday was as dumb as they come. Love his passion etc but c’mon James, play smart!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🇮🇪 🇺🇸

Energy and physicality off the scale for 35 yr old in his twilight years but Macca has been brilliant - could do with a twin so one’s in the middle and the other is down the wing! Disagree on the Jodie Jones comment - he got crosses in repeatedly for 25+ mins of the first half v Notts County but Macca shut him out after that but it could’ve cost us early on.

I absolutely love Maca and Fletch, the two elders we signed this season as an "elder" 38 year old myself. LOVE McClean's relentlessness and how he can get under opposing player's skin. So much fun

Rate him too. He would of been even better in the 70's/80's. Let's be honest he's a dirty bast**d wind up merchant. ( you just can't do that these days ) Amazed he's not had even more yellows and reds. I'm old school get stuck in, the modern game is too soft for him. I'd imagine he's played a bit of GAA ( Gaelic Football ) in his youth. Tough hard working far more physical sport. He responds and seems to thrive on the awful abuse he gets everywhere we go. Check a bit of history those abusers and realise how awfully our country treated his in the past. Only hear great things of his work rate and exceptional example he sets to others.He's as proud of this.🇮🇪 as we are of this🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

McClean is much better utililised right midfield as it allows Mendy to play LWB and also right midfield is Wrexhams weakest position.

Every game I seen in him live he has never done anything ..albeit I only been to 8 away games and we are crap away

I've honestly not been impressed with his time playing on the wing outside of 1 or 2 fringe performances. I feel he's had his best performances so far this season in the midfield and has had a significantly bigger impact as well. Regardless, I hope we can keep this form going forward to finish out the season!

I think McClean is even better for us in midfield at this point!
