Welcome to another Episode of Ross Reviews AU on this weeks Video we take out this 2013 Jaguar XF SV6! Supercharged 3.0L V6 with a 8 speed ZF & RWD... this has the true making of a great family sized sports sedan.

Without getting down to the nitty gritties there is similarities with the jaguars design to the FG’s/ FG-X Falcons especially around the rear and some side angle influences most probably due to Ford owning and designing some of the jaguar at the time

@@RossReviewsau the x250 XF post facelift models (2012/2013) are post ford and redesigned by Jaguar when given more freedom by it's new owners TATA. I would also recommend testing the x250 3.0l Twin Turbo Diesel as well as it's also a very interesting car as well. Specifically look at the AWD version.

I love the look of the XE’s and the XF’s. A review of the 5L supercharged model would be amazing, even the basic 2L turbo would be cool

They were both designed when Ford/jaguar/Aston Martin were all owned together, it's pretty blatant the engineers were all copying each other lol

The fgx falcon has a similar rear to the jaguar xf and the front grille of an Aston Martin.

Does look a bit like a G6E in the body and if it wasn't for the grille it could nearly pass for a ford GT with that bump bonnet. I like the colour and I have to say sounds pretty good too, great video and commentary as usual Jono Tony

Great car. Stunning A bit of a sleeper. This motor responds well to mods that up the power very nicely. But one of these with the Supercharger 5.0 litre V8 motor is a beast. 🚗 💥 💨

Nice jag m8👍credit to the owner for keeping it looking new, I can remember when they were first available in aus, 1 tried to race me and my m8 who has a 2011 BMW X5 M that's got 408kw from the showroom floor, you need to do a review on a X5 M V8 twin turbo

Finally we got folks saying the XF looks like Falcon! Of course do not forget back in 2012 we have 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 for base model before it was replaced by this 3.0L supercharged V6.

I drove the V8 model which was supercharged at the time and same shape and the power was nuts but really good lol I took on a SS commodore of the same year as and I just blew him away really a nice fun car

Big soft spot for the JAGS, last 10-15 years they have made models a lot more aggressive to appeal to a wider market, 2013 car and looks new,

It's a nice looking car! Design/looks matches it's performance - nothing over the top, not trying to be something it is not. Just a nice looking family car with Jag style and enough performance for public roads. But like you said, need a good dealer backed warranty for peice of mind.

Jags are cool and have some nice features and provide a niche alternative to the main players. The more popular BMW 335i/340i or AMG C43 however makes this Jag redundant from a performance perspective.

It’s definitely not the fastest kid on the block.. but still fun on a back road.. the price sub 30k is pretty reasonable if you get a warranty

I like the looks of this from the outside the interior dash is bit meh!! The similarities with the FGX can definitely be seen. I actually think the FGX in the right colour looks better. Makes the FGX XR8 look like a huge bargain.

Are you sure that they're unreliable? Many reviews including owner reviews on product review suggest otherwise. The xr6 turbo would be cheaper to repair. Other than that great review (as usual)!

Horrible engine bay to work on. I had to do a water pump and pipe behind it on the V6 supercharged. Luckily you don't have to take off the supercharger intake manifold which would be a mammoth job, so much shit everywhere. But even still was shit. I didn't quote the job but we replaced that, the pipe behind, seals etc and still pouring out coolant from that area. Fucking garbage cars.

Thus is just an overpriced also ran that's a money pit. It's not the 1960s anymore and Jaguar is no longer an innovator like it was. I'd far prefer aKia Stinger. You get refinement, performance, good looks and reliability.

I would go a stinger also! But at the moment there is a big price gap.. these are about 30k stingers are still high 40k+

@@RossReviewsau any savings will be eaten up with stuff going wrong. At least the costs are more certain with the Kia, plus you sit in a much nicer place. I will grant the Jag is a good looking car that's aging nicely so far, but try carrying two lawn mowers in the back!! With the Kia you can.
