2. Make your mission very simple. Clarity is the key.
3. Earn the trust of your people. People work for you because you deliver to them. Make sure you deliver the promises you made to your people.
4. Have empathy and know your staff. Understand what makes them tick.
5. Optimize Diversity in terms of age, gender, and background. Fight against tribalism. Build a team of both missionaries and mercenaries.
6. Be confidence of your own ability as a leader. Do not be afraid to hire & manage people smarter than you.
7. You must be able to be consultative but also bold.
8. You must be able to take small steps but also big leaps.
9. Spare some thinking time.
10. You must understand your context and market. In Malaysia, we only have a political economy. When politics and economy meet, politics always win.
