I've talked a lot in the past about how many different types of names were created and bought into the OG community, but I've never really talked in full about how many names were locked by Mojang and lost entirely from the community. This has been happening for years, and seems almost like an ongoing 'civil war' between Mojang and the community, one who's history is deep and very interesting.

Hey guys, just to stop all confusion / worries; ignChucky is perfectly fine. He is 16 now which means he's going into college (you attend college at 16 in the UK) so he is taking a break. He will most likely come back at some point next year, but we have to be patient, but in the meantime, you can watch other youtubers like xinabox. I hope this clears your confusion.

It's sad how high a pedestal people within the "og community" place themselves on. It's a shame more games don't employ the name system Discord uses, so that everyone can have the name they want. At the very least, games should free up inactive names.

Mojang should change the IGN's of all locked OG accounts, to some random generated IGN, like the way Hypixel Nicks are generated, so then a lot more people have the chance to get an OG name.

Mojang would probably be more likely to listen to yourself and the other members of the OG community that bring up legitimate problems such as losing names forever and locked accounts that didn't actually violate the TOS if you would stop defending/harboring actual criminal activity. Should've listened to Lotus, the fallen prophet.

Completely understand where you're coming from, but it's important to remember the Mojang TOS and the actual law are different things :p Regardless, I try not to 'defend' people's actions, of course breaking the TOS and EULA aren't things you should do, but it's far from something that can get you arrested; thinking of it like running at a public pool: sure you can get kicked out but not arrested. And for the people that do legitimately break the law over Minecraft, I'd of course never defend that either ;p

There isn’t a FULL list but there was once a list of some that people knew. It would be nearly impossible to get a complete list and the list is too big for me to reply to this comment with, but most times we don’t know what’s locked and what isn’t.

I believe that my account may have been locked in 2019, it was bought from Mojang back in 2015 and I’ve only ever changed my name once at that time. I tried changing my password but, of course, it didn’t work. It was given back to me after a few days tho, without me writing anything to Mojang
