On March 7, 1965, state and local police used billy clubs, whips, and tear gas to attack hundreds of civil rights activists beginning a march from Selma, Alabama, to the state capitol in Montgomery.

I lived in Selma for several years, and I have a lot of stories of the March from both sides. I need to write a book of all of these personal stories.

In yet another pivotal voting year (which has been extremely important for nearly 300 years), I am going to work as a volunteer to help register voters. Of course black voters, but our Indigenous Peoples of our nation need their voices heard. The Indigenous Peoples were here long before any white man came to steal their lands, bring in wave upon wave of slaves and indentured servants, killing and polluting the wildlife and lands. I want all people who are eligible to vote to be able to do so. Changing outdated laws, rules and regulations that match the rights given in the constitution of the United States of America. Not working to disqualify people, closing polling stations, taking away the support for those waiting to vote. Not threatening and intimidating voters and the officials who are there to make each vote count. Getting the best qualified people to run for and be elected into office. Abolishing the Electoral College and making sure Every Vote Counts. Educating the public on the facts about the platforms, intentions and previous actions of each candidate, supporting organizations and party have done. The Edmond Pettus Bridge needs to be named in Honor of the Great John Lewis who was pivotal in the Civil Rights Movement and crafting legislation up to the end of his life. There are many more people who need to be recognized and shown as heroes of Equity and Equality. I am a 45 year old white male, U.S. Army Veteran, having worked mostly in the Durable Medical Equipment Services since joining the Army Reserve. I am no perfect human being, but I am striving to help anyone who needs me. I'm not wealthy or lucky in resources. My services in offering help with my actions are part of my soul and no one had to preach to me about it in order to be a better person.

Yes. Thank. God we had M. E. N back in those days. Not a bunch of punks to run or shoot and run. May those that met their demise for their efforts. Rest in peace

There was also numerous misspellings which seems incongruent with the level of vocabulary of the script. "Tear gas" was spelled "tigaz" so idk what's going on here.
