I have always been a fan of Sharon Jones and the dap king but now I realize I love anything on daptone records. Real music is supposed to give ya chills....I'm freezing right now!

I was at a record store here in Nashville last weekend and they had "Burnt Offerings" playing in there. I went to the desk and asked about it, ended up buying the disc. Awesome! I had never heard of these guys before.

I've been a Cochema Gastelum fan since I saw him with Robert Walter in '99 or thereabouts. Budos/Menahan/Polyrhthmics are tops.

what's the difference between the Menahan Street Band and The Budos?... I mean, they really sounds very similiar, and at least 3 there are 3 members in the same band... Thomas Brenneck, Dave Guy and Mike Deller.
