The upholstered seats are complete so today we're going to fit them in the car and get Jolene to sit inside to see how they look and feel. We're also going to apply the window wood trim with the upholstered door skin panels and see if everything fits as it should. This needs to be done before it's painted! Slow and steady progress wins the race 🐢

Bugatti had tons of people and money , and a lot of sweet and tears to build these cars . Chad shows how talented he is . He is one of a kind . I am proud to watch chad do his thing and Jolene puts me right where I want to be when I am watching Chad work on his builds. I enjoy your channel on You Tube , it is great.

Maybe use Torx screws, or Allen screws for mockup. The will stay with the bit better when aligning trim with the holes. Then change them out later if you want straight slotted screws for the final look.

Absolutely awesome with the interior and the wood. Floyd and Geoff did amazing jobs on them. I was thinking or hoping you would paint the car white or the off/cream white. The wood will pop more with that color. As far as rivets I would go with the bigger ones. And its called binding when you put an edge on carpet. Which would make it even more spectacular. Maybe make the binding a darker color than the carpet so it sets it off. Great job to You both and everyone who has been involved in it. Best build ever!!

Chad, you have a very creative mind. The Bugatti is truly a masterpiece! I know that one is special to you and Jolene. I've enjoyed how you can chop a roof, turn a car into truck, a 4 door into a 2 door, take parts from here and there and everywhere and make it work. The Doddlebug is cool too!

I've learned in the past that when you take the screws out be very careful but when you put them back in put blue tape first so if you slip with the screwdriver it won't be catastrophic LOL. I do that with everything now that's painted and I don't want to get scratched. You'd be surprised what a difference it makes. Just another helpful tip from another Gear Head. You could pull the tape off when the screw is 3/4 in that way you won't have blue tape behind the screw.

What can I say C&J I watch you every day in the UK and just appreciate your honesty in all your builds. You keep on powering through the metal works of art but are never afraid to step back, take on comments and rethink things. If you ain’t making mistakes you ain’t learning. That Texaco hauler is gonna be outstanding and coupled with the Bugatti will be a show stopper. Would not look out of place alongside the GM Futurliner.

Hey Chad, Jolene, and Fina both the motor and the interior are coming along nicely! Jolene you have really good taste the interior is going to be gorgeous when it is all assembled. The Ostrich is a nice light color in the hot sun it should be much better than cow leather or something darker would be. Chad you have done alot of nice builds but, this one is going to be above and beyond! It definitely shows how you feel about Jolene as it should and I am sure she will be proud of you and proud to drive it when it is finished. I myself like the bigger flatter rivets however, what I like does'nt matter it is which ones Jolene likes! Fina will need another car body put there when the Bugatti is gone, she looked awful comfortable sleeping under there. LOL.

heres a tip, use posi-drive screws when test fitting the wood or other painted items then use the flat head ones on final assembly, saves slipping on the test fits be a good idea to hang the doors with the interior trim and rubbers on before you paint it too, door rubbers can make a big difference in the door kick, best avoid any supprises later on hmm rivets tbh they both look like they will work, the smaller ones look more like the original though

Jolene please let Chad know that when you have the interior piece going under the absolutely gorgeous wood. Take a pair of pliers or vice grip and squeeze the high points down so when it's painted it will go on much easier. I have created and installed well over a hundred interiors and over a thousand interiors in boats, so I am telling you from experience. Jolene you made amazing choices in materials and colors.

It is great to see these two (three if you count the engine work) projects coming together. All pretty much down to final components, certainly going to be a monumental achievement by all involved .You should all get together and have a celebratory meal/ barbecue to wet their heads...😁. Truly lovely work. Reckon Jolene will be driving it well into her eighties...(😂😂). I think the smaller rivets look quirky but the old hold tradition, reckon it's down to Jolene to make the choice...pearls or smarties...Nice one guys, keep up the good work 👍👍

Hey Chad watching your wood trim video. Don't know if it's the camera or not but what I'm seeing it looks like the wood needs a lot more sanding and clearing. I'm a retired auto painter who refinished cars for 51 years and I like to see everything super slick and sooth. Looks like he did a great job on fabracation, but could make wood a little slicker. But it;s your car so you're the one who has to be happy with. Regards Mike G.
