47:01 This is not a genuine argument. If it were, ~ 7 yrs ago you’d say BTC only, ignore ETH ! Then 3 yrs ago, ETH only, ignore SOL ! Now : rotated from BTC into ETH. Then into SOL. That makes sense. But to advise folks to ignore the next / newer options for performant networks, is equal to saying : “Ignore SOL … stick with ETH.” It’s perfectly normal and rational to look for the future networks which will be hosting massive Tx flow and use-cases by end of decade. In say, five to six years, the likes of Sui, Monad, Aptos, Algo, Hbar, Eclipse, Bera … etc, etc… may be booming. Do you suggest folks ignore that ? Just because their chart doesn’t beat SOL chart - just now, in mid 2024 ? Some of these aren’t even at Mainnet yet. Ignore them, in favour of SOL ? Does not make sense. If you were consistent, then in 2021 you would have said “Ignore SOL - stick with tried & true ETH !”

The problem with BTC, and crypto in general, is that it's had well over a decade now to come up with some sort of innovation that's going to send demand into overdrive and upgrade it to the next phase - a global phase. That's a problem. If this is it, then all crypto will eventually wither and die on the vine as people will lose interest, and the only ones left will be the few diehard hodlers trading between themselves for meaningless shinies. Let's hope that's not the case tho because getting to this phase is absolutely time-sensitive and the clock's ticking.

It makes sense that Bitcoin is an evolution as opposed to something that will take on mass adoption overnight. Its not something that has been imposed on us like fiat has. It takes people to discover and learn before being confident in adoption. Won't happen overnight.
