i vote for fresh tbc server without character transfer. starting tbc with maxed out classic characters and tons of gold doesn't feel right.

@ 9:50 or so the "people will just invest in items and then sell those when they xfer the char" That's pretty easy to prevent, just make it so only BOP items are xferrable. At that point the best someone could do would be to have their bank full of random instance/raid gear that they can vend for a little bit if they want, but it won't be any crazy amount of gold that they can make.

IMHO people starting at TBC or wanting a fresh start with TBC should be advised to pick fresh TBC servers while existing toons should stay on their own realms with existing economy. People with hundreds thousands of gold quickly will re-gain their capital even with any gold cap present - and the gold cap hits harder those that accumulated gold just somewhere above it but not farmed or specialized in it. Fresh non-transferable realms would also be good experience for pre-patch with new races, while on existing it would be boosting and people without cash or friends would just see empty zones (not to mention that TBC should have lower population caps or else - permanent layers).

Just started playing classic again. Mainly to farm for my epic mount. Still don't have it :P and I don't want to be running around with a slow ass mount in outlands

I'm kind of on the fence when it comes to Dranei and Belves being available on the pre-patch. On the one hand it makes seamlessly rerolling fun and easy so you can join your guild day 1. On the other, it relieves some of the pressure on Hellfire during launch and will result in many new players having people to level and quest with (provided all the old players don't just ditch the newer players in favour of boosting. When it comes to the economy problem I am an all or nothing guy. Either they let you carry everything with you into TBC or just what you have equipped (and soulbound items). The best (but not perfect) compromise I can think of is launching with additional fresh servers that only allow transfers from servers that launched post TBC. Yeah people want a fix for all the gold that has been generated by bots but at this point you will be hurting innocent players as well as gold buyers if you impose any restrictions. The leveling experience imo is a small price to pay to have a server with a fresh economy, especially when you consider that the gold buyers who have invested 100s if not 1000s of dollars in IRL currency are NOT going to want to just throw all that away. Bots may eventually catch these servers up in terms of inflation, but so long as there is transfer restrictions and mage farming has been nerfed into the ground with the AoE cap. It will take months for them to have any kind of impact.

As far as faces go I think the best thing to do was counted you something similar what they did the 1st time I think phase one should have. The 1st 3 raids But I do think that people should be able to get Be attunement process done for ssc. I think badges of Justice to drop from kaerazan. As for the gold and materials The biggest problem I see with that they can ever get it right honestly their best bet the only way I could see it's somewhat being even the only possible way if blizzard were to do this. Literally go through every single player and say OK Everyone's getting 10000 gold Whether you earned it or not. And everyone's getting X amount of consumable items already in your bag whether you farmed it or not the reason I say this is. That way everybody is put on a level playing field whether they got there or not that's the only possible way that they can make it somewhat even Because the problem is with gold Like you said he would just gonna stockpile items well if you say OK you can bring in this many items people are just going to get livid and quit the game. If you say you can only bring in 160 at a time well that same thing people are just gonna get mad and quit I know I will be extremely angry. As far as having a pre patch if I'm being honest II can't see them not having one and quite honestly I wish it would be out already I think it would be really good for the game because as a whole. The game at this point is dying Like it or not because of gold farmers in all of those things the economy is completely destroyed so we've got people literally having to pay 800 gold plus 4 consumables just so they can do the boss fights in naxx. And honestly if you're dropping that much gold Per raid night Or even worse per wipe. That's a lot of gold to have to drop on a attempt at maybe Downing a boss at may be getting a item. II just I know I would have liked to have tried it but honestly after looking at that I just go I have no interest I am in the highest rate I get to raiders AQ40 I'll be content with that. Am I opinion I would like to see pre patch come out right after blizzcon as in feb 21. And I completely agree with you I think blood elves and drain I should be available At pre patch because I wanna see people level those tunes up because that's going to be a really big mess. As for over all changes aside from that what I personally would like to see. 1 Dual spec 2 Vengeance and blood for both factions. 3 Blood out and drain I at pre patch obviously and it be sooner. 4 Drums of battle or any profession item that gives you a temporary boost. You no longer have to be that profession to use it. 5 Some attempt at faction balance if it were up to me I would say the less played faction Gets 5X boost to experience and 20% boost to reputation gains. Either that or they buff alliance racial's I have my own specific ideas for that Actually. Give humans all man for themselves Dwarves I would say give them command and increase the critical bonus they get from guns from 1 to 5%. Gnomes I can't really think of anything if I'm being honest baby increasing their Intel bonus from 5 to 10%? Night elves blessing of the forest 5% Bonus to Agility. Derani Strength of the narrow 5% bonus to strength. Those would be my changes again I'm not saying they're perfect but I think at least this would help and make the game overall better.

About the gold sinks. There's just 2 gold sinks: epic flying and initial item crafts. Once that is crafted you need virtually no gold. So people can bring their 200k gold over from Classic and there's nothing to spend it on. Go ask people playing on the Karazhan server. Mats for everything are super cheap. Gold is useless.

I really hope they have fresh servers at worst maybe let you transfer your character but u can't bring gold with you like you start from 0 gold because if your allowed to bring the gold that you made from vanilla/classic game will be a mess & honestly I probably bother playing.

Let the players make a choice going to TBC. Go to a server that allows unlimited gold OR go to a server not allowing to take any gold, etc etc.

Normally I would 100% agree with you However after being on the forms myself and almost feels like it's an entirely different types of people. You suggest any changes whatsoever and so many people just either one call you a troll. Or to say it you're an idiot you don't know what you're talking about they are not democratic they don't like to argue with they just wanna live and their rose tinted world. I one million percent agree we need to be heard changes need to happen I already see a bunch of changes faction balance is a really big 1. I do not want to level a classic character to do tbc. I tried classic and it was the most boring thing i ever did in my life. Tbc looks fun though because alot of the spells and rotations changed for the better.
