Here is my Bushcraft Axe - The TA Axe is designed and made in England. With a wood handle that has been made from the 100 year old Ash Tree in my woodland. A leather sheath that is from English leather made in Britain's last remaining Oak Bark Tannery that has been around since 1862. So much attention to detail has gone into this axe and I am incredibly proud to be able to now have these available. Thank you for watching.

Wow, they sold out in 3 hours! I’m truly blown away by this. Thank you so much. For those wondering, the next batch will be ready end of January and we are going to try and continue to have a batch of axes towards the end of each month. In order to find out exactly when they will go live on the site, sign up to the newsletter at www.taoutdoors.com/shop/taaxe and as soon as they are back in stock I will send out an email 👍🏻

One of your best videos ever. I’ve watched dozens of hours of axe making, but never seen the details of a tannery. Quite unbelievable to amount of work and time that goes into a simple piece of leather.

Amazing vid. One thing you could add is the importance of straight grain and grain orientation for haft/handle strength. Your ash is incredibly straight and aligned correctly as can be seen at 7:40 so should last for ages (with oiling).. Good workmanship all round, congratulations.

What a great presentation...from beginning to end. The map, the journey past Stonehenge, and of course, the hundred year old stately ash. If I were younger, I would jump on one in a heartbeat. The price is very fair considering the workmanship in every aspect of production. The leather production alone, screams quality, historical significance, and perfection.
@switters8679
@switters8679 5 ай бұрын
My guy, you should be paid to shill this hard. In fact, I already didn't like the presentation, and you have just made it even worse with your fake bullshit. 'The leather production screams quality,' are you a leather worker or a historian, how do you know what perfection is? The logic and reasoning in your comment screams idiocy, and I AM an expert in that.

Hi Mike! I'm 12 and we talked a while back. For the holidays I got Dave Canterbury's set of four Bushcraft books. And that got me thinking. Have you thought about writing a Bushcraft book? I think you're one of the best people for that. You are great at explaining things, and you're also good at demonstrating how to do things. Well, please consider this..... You did a great job with the axe! Thanks!😀

Dude... total respect from start to finish, %100 to you and everyone involved, truly mean that.... however...I hate to say it, but it's far from economical for the majority that would rather simply modify their techniques to use what they can afford Personally, even though being more well off than some, personally, I'd rather run through we'll say 3 "average" axes over 5+ years for still half the price... Respect the dedication and craft, but sadly in today's age, most average people would agree bc most can't afford it I hope you continue to do what you enjoy and spread the positive lifestyle that is being lost, but in reality, it's gotta be more commercially viable and accessible to the majority

No words to describe the quality of the axe, the handle and the sheath as well. You, young man can be considered a very model of a craftsman for the actual 'no purpose' generation. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 fro an old man - Brazil 🇧🇷 P.s.: I find interesting the use of a light wood such as ash wood to make axes handles. We do not have ash in our country so we generally use hard and heavy woods for this purpose.
