he said, we’ll end just like we started, just you and me and no one else. He said that because he was the first child and he doesn’t have a relationship with his biological father so it was just him and his mom. So when he sang “we’ll end just like we started” he thought he was gonna be the first of his siblings to go. But a week after the release of two of us his sister died so thats sooooooooo sad. i feel sooooo bad for him.

Louis always said that it's hard for him to talk about his mom and sister , and he mostly tries to avoid those questions on interviews , but he felt like he needed to write this song to help people and his fans grieve in the best way possible like looking at it from the good side even when there is no good side , I think you can feel it in all of his songs , he's always got this keep going vibe if it's a happy song then there you go , but if there is like a sad song he finds a way to make it uplifting and I believe his mom would be so proud of him

I lost my Mom five years ago when I was 40 and it was nearly unbearable. I can't imagine losing a parent that young! There are two songs that are difficult for me to listen to and make me cry every time. This is one of them. The other is Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. 😣

"We'll end just like we started Just me and you and no one else" He put this because he was the first child so there was no one between him and his mom.... ❤❤❤ And he used to have 4 sisters but one of them passed away which makes me sad to the core.His mom passed away in 2016 and his sis in 2018.He just poured his heart out through this song and trying to get better and suddenly he lost his sister.Still he's standing strong.He deserves a lot of appreciation for his music but also for the way he is and he handled everything and his sisters too are doing an amazing job!!

The first time I heard this song, it was actually the acoustic version. Just him and the piano, and it really brought to the forefront how intimate and personal this song is, and it was a punch to the gut. This version can still make me cry because the lyrics are just so powerful and heartwrenching, and his vocal delivery was absolutely perfect. It honestly is my favorite of his solo work, painfully beautiful. He wasn’t my favorite vocalist from One Direction, but the talent this man holds is absolutely unquestionable, and he’s a beautiful human being inside too. He’s seriously under appreciated musically outside the 1D fandom, and that is heartbreaking.
@BeardedReactions4 жыл бұрын
I agree. His talent isn't necessarily his voice, although he has a really good one, it is his song writing. He is so good at it!
@sarah18328 Жыл бұрын
@@BeardedReactions his songwriting is out of this world!! While he may not have a voice like Harry or Zayn in that matter his voice was still important to the band, his voice is unique and adds that special effect to the group's dynamic and songs. Songs like Love You Goodbye or Something Great wouldn't be the same without his solo parts. His singing comes from his heart and he puts so much emotions and real honesty into it. Louis was the backbone of One Direction, without him the band would have been lost along the way (Niall's words) and he was an extremely vital member. He has the most writing credits and wrote most of the band's most beloved and famous bangers. He proves once again his amazing writing talent in his two solo albums WALLS and Faith In The Future. I hope you can get the chance to see his documentary All Of Those Voices one day (hopefully it will be on streaming platforms)

I think you can see it in difference between the music video and the lyrics , the video is kinda closed doesn't give you a look at what he's feeling or thinking , whilst the lyrics are just there open and honest and I believe this represents how hard it is for louis to talk about the death of his mom ,like he never brings it up and it's not because he doesn't remember her or anything but I think that if you're a directioner or have been for a while , you know that louis is the type of people who smiles through shit , and laugh things of when they hurt the most , make a joke here and there acts like he doesn't care , and tries his best to make people smile , him and his mom were very close , she had him when she was young I think 19 ??? anyways his dad left them (that's another thing he doesn't like talking about and never brings up ) so it was just him and his mom for a while , she was always there for him he said that after one direction he felt so insecure about his voice that he decided to just keep writing music and producing it , he even brought a label , but his mom kept pushing him and believing in him , she also was the one who told him to talk to zayn and make up with him cuz *life is effing short* his mom ended up dying a couple of days before his first ever solo performance , yet he still choose to go there and perform and it was clear that he did it for her , family was there to support him , I think the only time all the boys were together at same time since the break was that performance they all flew to support him , some for less than 20 hours dropped everything to be there for him , I think it was one of the few times we saw louis all sad and down ,yet he strong was still as strong as he's always been even more

I want to tell you about Louis’ life so that you can know how incredibly strong he is. Louis has no relationship with his father, his dad did try to reach out again after fame and was also diagnosed with cancer. His mom had 7 beautiful kids, Louis was the oldest and the youngest two were only toddlers when she passed. Louis has a beautiful son, Freddie. He had a really hard time when Freddie’s mom was pregnant with him and when Freddie was born because people said that his son was fake/a doll etc. After Freddie’s birth, he and the mom had a custody battle and Louis lost after buying her a really nice house for her and Freddie to live in, it hurt Louis that she would do that after he bought them a house. Louis also lost his sister when she was 18 after she had a heart attack. Louis was always in the shadow in the band and didn’t really feel like he belonged, it took him a long time to build op courage to pursue a solo career and I’m so glad he did. He is so open and honest with his music and has the absolute best relationship with his fans. He is really one of the sweetest and best people out there. have a good day xx

Nahhhh I respect you’re mums opinion. That it would be harder to loose a child. Which ofc it is, my condolences to people who have lost the children or child. But I’m speaking through my experience when I say this. I lost my dad, at 8 years old, and 4 years later today actually, I’m even worse than ever. It’s the most horrible thing tho go through, (I know loosing you’re child is too) but losing a parent especially so young will probably be the hardest thing I’ll ever have to go through. But I won’t go too much into it. This song never fails to make me cry! It’s such a lovely but sad song. I respect you’re opinion but I just didn’t like the way you put it 💗

I understand totally. Bushy mama had a pretty bad experience with her mom dying, and I know when I lose my parents it is going to be terrible. I think loss is hard no matter who it is! I am sorry about your father though.
