Great podcast! I read 2 of Daniels books in 2016 and they really helped me in my own business. I did the “carry £1000 cash in my pocket” back then too. I used to be scared asking clients for £800 for a days work before, but after carrying £1000 in my pocket everyday I felt like I was under charging them, so it made it a lot easier to bump my prices up to £1500 a day in 2018. I charge a bit more than that now 😂 Such great lessons from his stories, books etc. Great podcast guys, really loving your approach! Would be great to get some 60-80 year olds on the podcast with their life experience and decades in business. The stories would be immense! Keep up the great work guys! 💪

Daniel shed some light into what work really means for some of these people, dining in a 5 star restaurant. For most of the people that is leisure, not work. There should be an episode on this, actually people should talk more about this overall.

I really enjoyed this interview. This is my first time on the channel so I’m not sure if you read the comments but if you do a little bit of constructive feedback I would recommend that you try not to answer the questions that you ask. For example, you said, did you have work Life balance? I didn’t have workplace balance. Another time you asked him how did you get over that? Did you just work more? I think it leaves the questions more open and allows the interviewee to really go into where they’re thinking rather than what you already think. Other than that this was great and you have a new subscriber

16:55 One recurring pattern I’m starting to recognise in your videos/podcasts is that a lot of millionaires you have on this show either got lucky with connections their parents had, or they were insanely lucky to find the connection themselves for free. People living in UK council estates desperate to break free from poverty don’t have the luxury of stumbling into a millionaire life coach who is willing to teach them the real secrets and give them real experience of becoming successful for free (without trying to scam them via KZfaq or ask for £10k for an online ‘course’). The only advice I’m getting from these videos, for those of us desperate to escape poverty, is basically “get unrealistically lucky and bump into a millionaire life coach or you’re screwed”. Tell me I’m wrong? Even Mark admits it at 17:35

Although many gurus and entrepreneurs deny it, your social, physical and cultural environments can put up huge barriers to creating success and wealth. Doesn't make achieving those things impossible but very challenging.
@DanielPriestley
@DanielPriestley 9 ай бұрын
I regularly say that environment dictates your performance. But you can also change your environment. In every city you can find a free business networking event. Every city has options to get a decent shirt and jacket. Head out and see what happens. I drove 2.5hours for the 30 minute meeting with Jon that day. You might look at my lucky break and think how incredible it was for me. I look at young people today and think how incredible it is to have access to free YT videos and podcasts, free LinkedIn connections, free online event listings and software that does so much of the work. When I got started even getting a business book was a big deal and everything cost so much money to do. For me to launch the most basic campaign in 2002, cost $20K. At some point you have to stop looking at what you don’t have and start looking for the opportunities. Good luck legend.
@nicholascarter6717
@nicholascarter6717 9 ай бұрын
But it makes sense though. If you've always been in poverty you wouldn't know how to even think about wealth and value creation. Fortunately with the internet, you can find everything you need for free from these millionaires. It may take you longer since your social circle may not reflect where you want to go, but all it takes is one successful friend to propel you forward.
