I'm bisexual too and I feel the same way. I feel like the scrutiny and generalizations aren't applied to monosexuals in the same way. I really feel sad that it would lead people to assume I wouldn't be attracted to them because they're not cis, which just isn't the case.

Bisexuality has always included gender nonbinary. Bisexuality is not a term that belongs to terfs.

But it only makes sense to ask if gender is important, because MANY bisexual people are attracted to biological sex + traditional gender combo. I'm one of them, I'm sorry, I love trans people etc, but I could never date one and be sexually attracted to them. Romantically - maybe. But once we are in a bed - NO.

I can explain! Nayjah indicated they were pansexual, meaning they are open to dating men, women, “theys”, and trans* individuals. She is bisexual so wants to date men and women but isn’t open to “they”s and trans* individuals.

From what i understood, It was more of the fact that Nayjah pressed the button because he got the impression that him being transgender was a turnoff for Gabrielle. It has nothing to do with his views on gender itsself. Its more about how someone else would handle/accept him being transgender in the relationship since that generally can be a deal breaker for people.

However, in my mind, being Trans means that gender is important enough to that person that they want to change their body and hormones in order to present more as and/or become a different gender. Which brings up something else that confuses me- people who are transgender and non-binary. I see non-binary as not really placing emphasis on gender or gender roles, but Trans as choosing a particular gender. How can the two coexist in one person? I get that you can choose to change your gender and still be a bit fluid in how you present and still honor both your masculine and feminine, but how can one care enough about gender to go through all the challenges that come with transitioning, and also not care so much that they refuse their birth pronouns or transitioned pronouns, and instead choose they/them. I know that was rambley, hope it makes my confusion clear haha
