they are super clean, every accent, flam, roll, buzzes are all on point..even the bass line. everyone was crisp, i even got chills just watching them, oh and i noticed no girls on the line): slight bummer but fellas you really performed past expectations. great job!!!

He's actually right to a degree. Often, techs will take guts off or put more tape on the guts of the weaker players to deaden their sound. It is much more difficult to clean a "wet" line, like a Jim Casella vanguard line.

I love the determined/hypnotized face their center snare has, it's super creepy.

Less guts means a lower sound. Lower frequencies mutes out a lot of dirt.

No, when you take off the guts it's like playing on wood. No dirt, that's why they got high drums. It's the overtone of the guts that cover the dirt, taking them off or loosening them lowers the amount of overtone.

That actually makes it harder to have a cleaner sound, because the sound is not as thick.

Thats awesome. I just saw them at the Buffalo Bills Ralph Wilson Stadium and they smoked the competition in my opinion. The judges didn't see it that way they gave the overall to Carolina Crown who are awesome as well but their show was kind of gimmicky with the electronic voices throughout the performance.

Anyone else notice that Bass 1 was one beat early on their 3? It comes right after the long triplet roll where Bass 2 is playing with the snares (2:05). Just saying... Love everything else.
