I think he got the drift when the other gent emerged and boarded the train. These same people have burned down three structures in the area around the depot. They seemingly don't care about anyone but themselves and screw everyone else. They also don't seem to understand that the depot is Private Property. Notices are posted around the building and security cams record all the comings and goings there. They are undeterred and bust into the depot to see what they can steal, shoot up, break for spite, need I go on? Enough. I do hope that you have a great afternoon and evening back there. It wasn't on the engine as they went thru the Big 10 curves above Denver. I cannot help but wonder how far they had that on the engine. But BNSF lets the weeds grow here I am sure the trees over the tracks somewhere back east. I had hoped one of the "free-ranging" roosters would stick around so I could get it on camera. Always something different. We are getting some cooler weather here today and tomorrow. It was nice sleeping weather last night. Not as warm by 10 degrees today. Same for tomorrow and then the heat returns. So far there aren't water restrictions here. We abide by every other day watering schedule here and have for years on end. It was an interesting discussion. I did see there was no #3 train that was dispatched from Chicago yesterday. I am sure the actions at Flagstaff were something to see. That might make the "Grab Bag" Southwest railfan has the camera installed and operating over in Wiggins. I may have to mount up and find the exact location over there. I have watched several trains and a Zephyr go thru on that cam. Anyway, I hope that you have a great Tuesday down there. Hard to believe half of July is now history. Good morning, Carolyn; Thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. Yes. Some of the weeds have been pulled. I did that. The weeds have a defense against my pulling them during my walk sessions, they got too big for me to yank out of the ground. LOL! It is to be cooler here today with a slight chance of wetness from the sky later in the day. Soi far, it is cooler. But all good things come to an end. The heat will return. I am still thinking that the fourth of July is still at hand with all the fireworks being lit off around here. Then I look at the calendar and find the month is just half over. The #6 train came thru here around midnight local. I did chide a conductor or two about seeing parts of Nebraska they don't get to see except in the darkness. Then I have asked a couple if they slept really fast to be able to bring the #5 back to Denver the next day. All in fun. Although not on the camera this morning, there are two roosters "free-ranging" on the other side of the tracks. I did watch them for a few minutes today. There are also a couple of cotton tail rabbits that have taken up residence. Must be summertime in Ft. Morgan. LOL! I hope that you have a great Tuesday down there. Please take care and stay safe!

Good morning, Frank; I thank you for dialing in along with the question. No. There are two conductors for the train. A lead conductor who does look after the patrons in the sleepers and the Assistant Conductor who does the leg work back to the coach cars. Each car has an attendant who is AMTRAK staff and ride the entire route with the train that look after the needs of the patrons. I hope that answers your question. Have a great Tuesday. I see that person and know he is homeless. There are too many nights spent at the depot along the west exterior wall. AND I have chatted with the gent who has told me he is without a home.

I work at a station that is a 100% volunteer station. Sorry if I came off as being rude but we have our issues that we have to deal with so I was asking legitimately. We run as a non profit with a board of directors and support from the community to make it as safe as possible for the volunteers and the passengers. It’s hard for us to know if they are passengers until we speak with them. The station is also served by the local public bus company. We feel that if there are no issues with the individual than let them be. We close the station at night and have had incidents where the Sheriff has had to be called. Other than that we treat it as a safe space as long as no issues arise
