@@CatManThree nope,, she’s trans. Spoilers for Caligula Overdose oop. She gets visibly upset when people out her as being male in the real world like literally any transgender person would if their previous identity was found out, claims that Mobius is literally the only place she can survive lit “I’ll never leave this world even if it is all a sham I can’t survive anywhere else”, talks about getting gender conforming surgery in her side quests but is unsure about it because of the pressure it’ll put on her parents and when threatened to be sent back to the real world for disobeying the Ostinato musician’s wills she begs them not to send her back like literally BEGS them because she doesn’t want to be put back in a body she doesn’t identify with. And if none of that convinces you of her identity, I guess you could argue that it’s all trans baiting or whatever but you have to admit she has a lot of ties to LGBTQA+ people, i.e. if you play femc and you go to the cafe then you get in via pretending to be Mifue’s girlfriend, when you come in Sweet P welcomes you as “the sweetheart”, certainly implying that she is familiar and accepting of non hetero and cis people so I don’t think saying she is trans is any stretch of the imagination. Thank you for coming to my TED talk I will conclude with my opening statement of Sweet P is a trans woman who deserved better.

@@thefangirllogic4726 Ummm...no? Hes a transvestite. Game labels him as such and durring an event he clarifies it himself. In the real world he is an overweight older man ridiculed for his appearence, only finding joy out of his interests of eating ramen after work and enjoying "cute" media and clothing. He talks about in his events how he wishes he was born a girl because he wouldnt have to hide his interests and life would be easier. In mobius he is a cute teenage girl that can dress up as cute as she wants and can eat as much as she wants without getting fat. This isnt to say his story cant resonate with lgbt, only that he isnt trans.

@@CatManThree I’ll be perfectly honest I really didn’t feel like you read my comment. The game labels her as such because having an openly trans character in a Japanese RPG would not be ideal, it could lead to the game being shunned for appealing to leftist views or whatever (thanks Japan! Very cool!). The reason why she says it about herself is because she is insecure and I don’t believe she even knows how to identify herself, even if she is not canonically trans I do believe she is very heavily trans coded considering she does talk about gender conforming surgery as I said previously, not something that most people who are “transvestites” actually go through with without actually identifying as transgender. (I use that term in quotations simply because a lot of trans people consider it a slur so I’m a bit iffy on using it considering I myself am not trans). At the end of the day you can just believe that Sweet P is a man dressing up as woman to evade the toxic society they live in where they can’t indulge in their interests, however I believe she is very heavily implied to be trans or at least trans coded - we are talking about a Japanese RPG released 4 years ago (if we just focus on Overdose), I don’t expect it to be fully inclusive or accurate to the actual plights and thought processes of transgender individuals but I do believe degrading her to an identity she clearly resents is not something that should define her as so many do.

@@thefangirllogic4726 Fair enough. Either way it doesn't really matter as it doesn't change the message and themes behind Sweetp's character. Regarding the slur thing, the word is not really a slur. There are just those that are understandably sensitive about it due to anti-trans people who refer to and treat them as transvestites.
