@Starrone83 Just a little wisdom from an 80 year old. 1st. point.......... the above comment by Steven Romero, "good doctor". is a phrase that has been in use for as long as I can remember. It has nothing to do with being a good or bad black person. The focus of the phrase deals with the word "doctor", not Ben Carson being black. 2nd point.......... If you really watched the video, one of the focal points was about the DECLINE of black intellectuals, not any type of good or bad black people. There was no remark made about black intellectuals being good or bad. Just that there is a decline of black intellectuals in today's world. I am so tired of people who find ways to put a racial meaning into things that have nothing to do with race. Now, having said that Starrone83, if I did not truly understand what you were trying to say, then I apologize.

@@dianemarks7159 She's right. There is a decline in public intellectuals. There has never been a time where information has been so readily available and easy to share, as it is today. It is easier to believe in something than it is to understand it.

@PhilBagels
@PhilBagels 4 жыл бұрын
My theory is that it started with FDR - at least for Jews. My great-grandparents came to the US (legally) from Eastern Europe. They never became citizens, so they didn't vote. They were too busy trying to figure out how to make their way in a new country, learning a new language, etc., to worry about politics. But their children (my grandparents) were natural born citizens, so they could vote. WW2 happened and Hitler tried to kill all the Jews in the world. We won, led by Democratic President FDR, so my grandparents became loyal Democrats. - Now does anyone really believe that we wouldn't have gone to war after Pearl Harbor if Republican Wendell Willkie had been elected in 1940? Would we have instantly surrendered? Would we have simply given Hawaii to the Japanese Empire? But I digress. Then they had children (my parents) and raised them to be loyal Democrats, too. Most people follow the path of least resistance. It's easier to keep doing what you've always been doing than to stop and really think about whether it's right, and make a change. And there was Democratic President JFK - a really good-looking, charismatic guy, who sure talked a good game about civil rights. So my parents were happy to remain Democrats. Then they had me, and raised me to be a loyal Democrat. (Even though there really hasn't been a good Democratic President in my lifetime.) By the time I was in high school, and starting to become aware of politics, Reagan was president - a Republican. As a loyal Democrat, I was taught to hate him. I grumbled and moaned about everything that was so wrong and horrible, and if only we could get a Democrat in there. Mondale came along and lost, and we got four more years of Reagan. grumble, moan, grumble, moan. Then Dukakis came along and lost, and we got four years of Bush Sr. grumble, moan, grumble, moan. By this time, I was out of college and working. Then came Clinton, and he won! And I thought, "Finally! A Democrat in the Whitehouse! Things are going to start looking up!" But then Clinton started screwing up right away. Not just the sexual harassment and rape stuff, but the breaking of all this major campaign promises. Here I thought - naively - that everything was going to be fixed by having a Democrat president. But no, So I didn't vote for him the second time. I couldn't bring myself to vote for a Republican - it was too traumatic a change to make. So I voted for Perot instead. Remember him? I knew he wasn't going to win, and I really didn't want him to, but I didn't want to vote for Clinton again. More time went by, and I was gradually able to bring myself to vote for Bush Jr., over Al Gore. I was still registered as a Democrat, but I was hoping that the Democratic Party could still be saved, and brought back from the far left. When they nominated Obama, I gave up, and re-registered as a Republican. I was very nervous about coming out to my parents as a Republican, but I did, and it turned out, they had come to the same conclusion as me, and had also switched. But most Jews still vote for Democrats, because it's the path of least resistance. They haven't really thought the issues through. They've been indoctrinated for generations: Democrats good; Republicans bad. Indoctrinated by whom? Democrats, of course.

Two most wonderful respectful people on you tube. It is so encouraging to hear intelligent people talk and continue to stand and fight for American freedoms. I am sure it is hard some days, but we all need to be a light in the world and share reason in a respectful manner and turn the light on the lies of politicians and other entities. Thank you for continuing in common sense. Used to be more common, can be a rare sighting these days.

@@stevemitz4740 Actually Steve it goes back further than FDR. Woodrow Wilson was probably the major start though there were efforts even before him; essentially just after the end of the Civil War. Yes, I see the difference. It is the reason why this is not a battle between the "liberals" and "conservatives" or even the "left" and the "right," but rather a battle between evil and good. The globalist believe that you can create utopia here on Earth. That is the same mistake that Ayn Rand made, though I don't put her in the evil category. Humans are flawed, we make mistakes, we sometimes do not do that which we know we should do or do not do that which we know we should. It is that distrust that was foremost in the thinking of the founding fathers. They recognized that they knew they could not even trust themselves to rule without formal restraints. Their objection to the Bill of Rights, for example, was not because they did not agree with all of them but rather by listing such rights government might not honor other natural rights that were not so listed.

I agree with Candace about the most joyous times was making dinner for my then husband, and becoming a mother, taking care of our family. I’m a single mom now and there’s a different feeling of being empowered to do it on my own and have been, but I do know the value of having a partner to share the day (good, bad and everything in between)with etc.. It doesn’t degrade us as women to care for our husband and or partner. I was raised in a traditional family and I still value that and seeing more of its importance now then ever. That being said, there was a lot of valuable information here but the above stood out to me. Btw, Candace looks like she’s glowing and completely beautiful. Happy Easter everyone and stay safe.

The only purpose in a socialist’s life is the destruction of the culture of freedom that has made America the envy of the world. To paraphrase Robert Rourke, when you take from a man his country, religion, family values and way of life you had best replace it with something of value. The socialist offer nothing but threats and violence to anyone that does not submit to their doctrine, which has no value at all. That’s why the socialist’s argument will always be a castle built upon sand, mortared with emotion with Saul Alinsky as the contractor. When you look into the eyes of a socialist you're looking into the eyes of a thoroughly indoctrinated, fanatical enemy combatant whose fundamental reason for existence is the destruction of America and all it has ever stood for. Ironically, they sow the seeds of their own destruction for most certainly no human being with a grain of sentience would long endure paradise that cannot exist unless it’s enforced with he same iron heel that gave us Tienanmen Square.

I thank Jesus Christ for both Candace and Dennis. Almost 100 years of wisdom imparted to the open minded people who are willing to take an hour to listen to the brilliance they are sharing. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. May God bless you both in all of your endeavors. Love from Oklahoma.
