The Candyman AKA Travers Beynon, talks about his love for old school offshore racing boats and refurbing his 1999 Cigarette Top Gun 38
Powered by twin supercharged big blocks each dyno'ed at 1000hp
Please note: Contrary to popular belief,other countries do exist outside of the United States, hence In Australia the law states passengers are NOT required to wear life jackets on a vessel this size.
And yes we know you think its going to be super hot in black, but its NOT the seat inserts are carbon fiber look which was found to be half the temp of plain black vinyl.

I once stepped on a navy blue portion of vinyl in my boat on a sunny July day. I only did it once. An entire boat done in black would almost be unusable in the hot sun.

Well as they say: ”The difference between men and boys are the price tag on their toys ”. Awesome looking boat, that Black and gold paint scheme is killer, and that twin V8 roar is amazing. Though the most famous offshore boat must be the Wellcraft 38KV Scarab used in a little known 80s TV-Show called Miami Vice.

That’s one of the best paint scheme ever on a boat. Most look like the first paint job with a barrage of different colors. The black with gold is pure class.

Along with what others have said about the back interior, but the black paint also shows every spec of water that touches it, especially a saltwater boat it’s going to need to be completely detailed after every 5 minutes it’s in the water.

Hey put it in the water and go fast, it will likely be ok. Maybe its going to lake Michigan or something like that. Maybe the boathouse keeps it cool during the day and it gets used a lot at night. When I buy I'll get a different color.

I remember there was this hot shot guy racing down the New York finger lake Cayuga... Going 50 mph... In one of these. We have a "sleeper boat." A 14' Boston whaler.... With a 90 horsepower engine on the back. We passed him so fast, you should've seen his face! It was like a multi million dollar boat and we passed him in an old Boston whaler!😂
