It is very difficult to lock a key fob in the car. The car will not let you lock it with the door button. It can only be locked by another key fob outside the car usually.

Car keys can't get locked inside the car. Never heard of it in Europe. It's either: 1. Keyless entry - the key radio signal not only makes it impossible, it's warning you if you left the key inside. 2. Classic locks - well, you need the key to lock the car from outside, don't you? It might be possible in the land of all possibilities (US of A 😂), but i never heard of it outside of youtube.

You may have to hold the button on the outside handle depending on the year and manufacturer...right? Maybe their vehicle is some type of commercial vehicle like a mail truck or something.
