The Carlsbad Chronicles: Caruana's Winning Formula
Join me as I analyze the recent clash between Caruana and Aryan Tary (Norway Chess 2023) in which the American takes the game into the Carlsbad structure as soon as move 5 to sidestep a ton of theory.
This move order is regarded as harmful for black, but there are some interesting aggressive ideas for White that create an interesting battle.
But that's not all - we also journey back in time to unravel a classic encounter. I analyze a compelling game between Yasser Seirawan and Xu Jun. White castled on the queenside and fiercely attacked the enemy's king.
Through my analysis, I try to shed light on the strategic insights and key moves that make this game a nice notebook example.
