You did not touch on the fact that the judge refused them their right to have their lawers present. The were instructed by their lawers to ask for time to get representación. Because they got the notice to attend court hours prior.

Dionne: This one was a doozy. I was laughing so hard listing to this. This was a classic case of "one fool makes many." Or hitching your wagon to a fool's wagon going over a precipice. A person who defends himself or herself in a court of law as a fool for a lawyer. Social media has brought about a new kind of social vulture, whose only aim is to devour people's characters like carcasses without any shred of evidence and most times just for sensationalism and a horde of coins.
