It’s a classic turned-on-its-head reference. Didn’t steal anything. In that case, James Cameron also stole the storyline of “Dances with Wolves” for his movie called Avatar, lol.

I'd like to echo Prem's suggestion, but broaden it. If you join your mother in a spiritual exercise, you'll both see great results. I personally recommend basic Christianity without the corrupt human Church, using the bible as a strong source. But so long as you're on the road of spirituality, you'll both find it frees you from dependence on The State that serves as the god of most humans across the world. God bless, Godspeed, and I hope you both continue your path of drawing together to support each other in this brief, painful, but beautiful life.

People always argue how Avatar has never been an influential film in terms of pop culture, but it's a film that is never gonna be forgotten, not to mention it's a film that will live on no matter how many years pass. That 2009 film looks as good or even better than most films today and most likely most films of the future. And now, with way of water, it's just gonna add more to how timeless the Avatar films will be.

While it wasn’t considered influential, I personally feel that it was what Cinema should be. I do feel escape in plenty of films I’ve seen but this film was an actual I am in the World of Pandora. A complete escape, immersed experience that used the proper use of 3D rather than cheap shots of something sticking out the screen with no value. I knew I was watching something completely new when seeing the film.

I love his character. Such a cold-hearted badass, that I keep wishing would die, but his performance and charisma is just so cool. - It's like the last '80s badass we'll see or something. - I just hope they won't make it so that he'll "grow a heart" in an attempt to make us like him, because he's so damaged and has done such unforgivable things in the first movie alone, especially now that he's this freak-of-nature killing-machine, that nobody in their right mind could buy it. - I just hope it will be him trying to look like he's growing a heart and then infiltrate a tribe, just to put them up against other tribes, and basically start wars as a metaphor for what humans do on Earth or something. - I'd be good with that.

I just came home from the iMAX theater and I'm still shaken. I'm determined. I'm heartbroken. I'm hopeful as well as I am sorry. Sorry for all the nasty things that we are doing to this beautiful earth. Sorry for our endless greed and our inability to look ourselves in the mirror. Sorry for the oceans that we are poisoning. For the forests that we are cutting down. For the soil that we are draining. I couldn't help but see that we are both the Na'avi and the Sky People. We have both natures in us. We can be compassionate to other living beings and we can butcher them when we are asleep to our cruelty. It is an awesome piece of art. It's a shame that the word awesome has lost all its weight but it's the closest word that describes it. I was filled with awe, wonder, reverence, and mystery all the way through. I saw myself in both sides of the equation. The light and the dark. The saint and the sinner. But in the midst of all of those fight scenes and grandeur, it was clear to me just how pertinent the message is. That the bond of family, community and our connection to nature are more important than everything else. No amount of technological advancement will replace the joy of swimming with friends who have your back and feeling the sun on your skin. No amount of metaverse shenanigans will bring more fulfillment than seeing pride on your father's face when he realizes that he raised a good person. All is lost when we sever the connections of humanity, spirit and playfulness. Those are the things that make us what we are. Thank you Cameron for your wake-up call. May we be kinder to all beings.

Can't wait to see this in IMAX 3D, saw re-release of fist movie few weeks ago and there was additional underwater swimming scene from second movie at end credits, it looks mind blowing in 3D :)

I remember, when it came out, I went back to watch the first movie for a 2nd time the next day because it was undescribable. Never have I ever seen a cinema movie twice in my life. I have a feeling I will do that again for this one

God I have been worried about the film due to articles being released, but the wonderful cast has made me hopeful and excited for this film. I saw the first one when I was 6 years old and have continued to love the first film 13 years later. I hope they create more movies after The Way of Water and I hope this film gets as much or more love than the first film. They all deserve it and I am so thankful to experience something so mind blowing-ly beautiful. We all love you.

Man I can't wait to see this movie. The first Avatar was a ground breaking movie, with a lot less CGI abilities at the time -- I can't even imagine how beautiful this one is going to look with the tools available now.

I had no idea that the actor who plays Jake Sully was Australian (yes, I know 😅). I thought the actor was American. I also saw him on “The Shack,” and his accent fooled me. He’s great. I love all the cast. Avatar is my favorite movie ever.
