There are multiple scenes in S.T.'S taken right from IT. I saw a video where they even played them side by side. The brothers who created ST's were originally supposed to direct IT a long time ago. That was before Fukanaga was attached and then dropped out as well.

These kids did a great job. The director did an amazing job at getting the kids to show their individual characters ... these kids have done an impressive work in the movie
