The Cata shop date has been in the shop since Blizzcon. They have been giving those shop dates since 2020 (After the postponing of Shadowlands during the pandemic). They don't want people to sue them or ask for refunds (as they did previously) so they put those dates SO far in the future that they can delay it whenever they want without legal issues. Take a look at the retail shop. It is set to Dec 2024, which we all can agree on, is not summer. As far as I remember, Wrath was set to Dec 2022 (came out in later September).

Im able to play the beta but every time I try logging into a character (doesnt matter what) the game crashes and I get an error code : 1F71F4CD-73DB-40F1-BF0A-F180A41ACF14 . Has anyone else experienced this? Or knows how to fix this?

I’m not playing any wow rn, just waiting on cata. Sod is fun but piss easy so I don’t see a point in tryna get BiS and there’s nothing else going on there. Please release soon papa blizz

Imo Cata Prepatch needs to be here in 1 month or so,, and be full released mid may. People will just get bored, and be invested into other games instead

I have access to the Beta and it's certainly a bit messy at the moment. The UI and so on seems to be in this weird Wrath of the Lich King state. I've been enjoying my time so far though, level 28 on my mage and running through (Northern) STV right now. I posted a list of issues/bugs on the US beta forums. I hope to get to 60 in the next few days and see what's going on with the supposed levelling changes in Outland/Northrend

ya don't worry about gear at all!! there are greens available at level 81 that are pretty much on heroic ICC level bis! but by level 83 every thing that drops will be better then iCC gear! the only thing that might be used for a little bit will be trinkets. as the procs on our ICC trinkets are pretty good

I really want to start a new character for cata, but i feel like all the effort I put on my main will go to waste. Mount collection, rep grinds, and just general advancements while playing. I started at the end of this expansion right as Mists was coming out, so i really want to give this one a go again.

Its entirely possible the August 31st thing has been around alot longer, but I honestly didn't see it appear till the beta appeared - eitherway, what I said bout that stands regardless.

The August 31st date was actually noted at blizzcon…so nothing new there. In the past closed beta to launch was about 90 days. So June 15th seems more realistic. Waiting till August would be classic suicide. Servers are melting…

I'd agree but the timeline shows p3 sod after cata launch iirc and p2 would be almost 6 months old by that point

@@Gambleraddict79 Mid March(closed beta launch) to mid June (predicted cata launch) is a span of 4 months. The WOTLK beta, from beta to launch, was 96 days. Kinda lines up.

@@Gambleraddict79 Seeing as though we have 4-6 weeks left in phase 2 Sod and pre-patch isn't until after the launch of phase 3 sod, there is a very high chance Cata launches late May - Mid June "LIL BRO"

Kinda disappointed with the beta invites, most of the people invited were streamers and youtubers, some of who don't even play because they or their audience are hating on cata. Need numbers to stress the quest areas more ngl. Prepatch is shown at the end of spring and hopefully it'll launch with a small number of fresh servers (in phase 2 of prepatch) for people who didnt play wotlk or classic at all. Cata launch should be first part of summer. Congrats on the baby gold farmer !

Fresh servers are a really bad idea. All the ones spun up for Wrath are dead now.

This is pretty typical for blizzard tho, basically every beta they do starts super small and then picks up in numbers really quick after a week or two

My friend got banned for buying gold a couple weeks ago. The DAY he gets unbanned he gets the beta invite. I've never bought gold, never been banned or had an action taken against my account, never been invited to a beta. Someone PLEASEEEE make this make sense ☠️

If youre friend got cuaght buying gold he did alot to were it was noticeable my friend and i buy gold once a month and never have issues. he probably buy it alot of the time and it cause Blizz to wonder how this guy s getting thousands of gold. Blizz has logs to see what you do and what mail you get. Also you sign up for it and then you'll get an email for it. But just so you know youre gonna pend a month leveling new toon before you get to cata content. so id say its not worth doing it. gott level 80 times to do just 5 levels of the ACTUAL content that youre wanting to do. i hopped on this morn after downloading it seen i cant use my toons and said nope. you'll have to pay me to level a toon on beta for it just to get deleted on release

To be honest, I hope it is unavailable til August. I want the game to be proper and finished, as well as having more time for ZG tiger / raptor farming and other achieves that go away.

Dear blizzard. Stop basing your release cadence on streamers, August 31st is fine, not everyone's farming 12 to 12 heroic every week, some of us need more time to get things done and get achievements, not all of us play this game as a job, a lot of us have other jobs and families to deal with.

Honestly if it goes to august 31 st there wont be any players left. For the health of the game they have to release as soon as possible. Ppl will burn out if wotlk goes too much longer "single dad of 2 young kids with a 40 hour work week, that has 5 chars 13/13 hc"

Dont want to be rude, but If you cant clear 12/12 in 5 month with 30% buff then its not about “streamers” and top guilds… at this point people are leaving Classic because there are nothing to do at all and people are getting tired of farming ICC. I am playing in a regular guild and we do all 13/13 in 3 hours, almost all gear goes to dis. People do need a “fresh air”

most people sick of wowtlk. a lot of people didn't get to experience cata back then its almost like a brand new x-pac for a lot of people id imagine. on top of that its CATA "with changes" so there actually gunna be adding changing stuff, maybe even some class tuning. I swear to god if u dont have H LK killed and you made this comment ill be mad

@@TheBugB W take lets be honest mop classic will be the actual best classic experience cata wasn't that great it was the experimental phase where they got so many things wrong I mean most players dont play worgen, the quest revamp is the reason people wanted to go back to vanilla wait till mop balanced pvp, multistrike, reforging done right omg, throne of thunder, timeless isles, siege of org an actual time to be alive
