The Cato Place Board will make your dog training easier. Platform training with the place board by Cato Outdoors is an essential new edition to our training.
A Cato Place Board gives you the ability to work multiple dogs in the same room as non working dogs wait their turn on place. It's easier to teach household management like place command for arriving guest or mealtime. In sports, you can use it for position changes, fronts and heel positions. Great video! I see you have a lot of Klimb Platforms too. I love Cato Platforms for sit, heel, front etc., but I love my Klimb Platforms for place and extended stays. My yellow lab loves his Klimb and we also have one about 5 steps from the front door so when the door bell rings he goes to his Klimb, not the front door and doesn't leave it until I release him. I'd love to hear what you like like to use your Klimb Platforms for? Both Cato and Klimb Platforms are great tools for different types of training IMHO!

Thank you for the kind words. I generally use my klimbs to isolate behaviors. Maybe a sit/stay for a large dog. A hold for a retrieve. Body awareness with jumping on or just putting the front feet on. Also, teaching the dog to pull their rear end up for a tuck sit.

In addition to beer pong, when upside down it also doubles as a food puzzle toy…as I discovered when I accidentally dropped my open treat bag on it.

A Cato can work. It’s just a tight space. Kuranda beds can work well too

Hi, I just found this vieo and thanks a lot for posting, it's really interesting! I've read a lot about platforms and the Cato in particular but tbh I was never really been sure it was worth it? We've done a tonne of placement work with my boy (Marty, a 2yr Parson Russell terrier) as recommend by trainers and a local club, just using a mat (a soft crate mat). It's been super successful and a real game changer, we take our mat everywhere with us, but I was wondering what you thought if a platform was a better option? Or just another cool option and tool in the training arsenal? I've seen it recommended in lots of times but just keen to hear how others find it? Thanks a lot and I really appreciate the advice! If your mat is raised enough for it to be clear to you and your dog, then that’s fine for training. Catos are cool to have and helpful, but you can use a ton of tools to get the same affect.

So the problem I've got is my dog is a creeper/bunny hopper/ scooter. I feel like I need a raised place board that is also a position box but I want the end result to be her chilling/ relaxing on it whilst I take other dog out so position box is too tight. Honestly don't know WHAT to buy. Currently useing duct tape on a vet bed lol
