As someone who grew up in the DC area the DC Sniper shootings were terrifying. They literally were shooting people at random within a 100 mile zone. They told us as kids walking home from school to walk in zig zags 😂

I was in third grade at the time. I remember they canceled recess, and we didn't have soccer practice or games anymore. It was such a weird few weeks because everyone was on edge at the time. One of the people shot was a woman who was in the parking lot at the local Home Depot that my family regularly went to.

Hulu has a crazy documentary on the DC sniper. Worth the watch. I lived in the area when it happened as a kid. I used to walk to school and they taught us to walk in a zigzag with our backpack up covering our heads. Some teachers wore red every day to try and make themselves more of a target than the kids. Wild stuff

yeah I agree I think this is the last year of the CDL in my opinion the franchising was a big mistake and they handled it very poorly

@@j21son55 couldn't agree more and I've been saying that since day 1. Franchising shrinks the esport so much it's just not even close to what it used to be in size and stature in terms of where it ranks with all esports.

I haven’t watched the podcast yet, but I have to ask question. Is shitting on the decision for the CDL to do a deal with KZfaq the right decision BEFORE we even see the results?I’m not even siding with the league doing an exclusive deal, to me it makes more sense to do a mulit deal with twitch. But is titles like this helping the growth of COD?I mean honestly, the title alone could turn so many people off to the CDL AND especially because OPTIC is shitting on it. Why not just see what happens first?Negativity is never going to win.

@@vvemomusic5543it's has been proven twice now the cdl loses viewership when on KZfaq even during covid when it was on KZfaq it wasn't doing great until the deal was over and they doubled their viewership back on twitch. Numbers don't lie.

Comp cod wont die ever. Activation is trying to make some quick money the CDL might die but there are other people waiting to get cod as their esport. The saudis are waiting for cod to become available. Its not the CDL fault its Activision fault. They city base model failed and it is what it is. The saudi would have a huge funding for plenty of tournaments a lot of teams possibly a 16 team partnership and open bracket.

@@KiddLondonit’s not the city base concept that failed, they failed by making the franchise cost 25 Million without a true TV deal or a lucrative way for teams to recoup funds yearly. There’s no way teams should be going Negative 2.5M after winning a championship. Impossible.
