Death affects people in different ways but how do you deal with it when you live in a country that's not your own? Marae's Kayne Peters takes you on a trip to Australia to hear from those about how they are coming to grips with this situation.

Been in oz since 95. Mum bought us here as kids after dad died. All i can say is that you never stop missing home. I would break down crying randomly at least twice a year because of how much i missed home. My life is here now. Married an aussie and have a son now. When i die i will be cremated and my ashes spread over the ocean. As much as i want to go home to be buried by my father i dont want my son to be tied to one place whenever he wants to "see" me. I missed my dad and was always sad about the fact that i couldnt go see him whenever i wanted. I want my son to know that i am everywhere all at once so im with him wherever he goes.

Ive been in Aussie since 82 and came with my parents as a kid. My parents have passed here and were cremated and sent back to the family urupa as per their wishes. It connects me and mine. When I go the same will happen, my husband who had doubts about going as well,, will also come with me. This I hope will have connections for my kids.
