The Chargers signed 21 UDFA after the 2024 NFL Draft and they were: Karsen Barnhart, Casey Bauman, Luke Benson, Akeem Dent, Jaelen Gill, Thomas Harper, Zach Heins, Savion Jackson, Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste, Leon Johnson, Jaylen Johnson, Robert Kennedy, Micheal Mason, Tremon Morris-Brash, Tyler McLellan, Willis Patrick, Jalyn Phillips, Tyler Smith, Zamari Walton, Luquay Washington, Bucky Williams.
The Chargers drafted Joe Alt, Ladd McConkey, Junior Colson, Justin Eboigbe, Tarheeb Still, Cam Hart, Kimani Vidal, Brenden Rice, and Cornelius Johnson.
Brenden Rice was drafted to the Chargers in the 7th round this is the steal of the draft potentially! Cornelius Johnson and Kimani Vidal are also drafted in the 6th and 7th round but also keep an eye out for UDFA signings. The Chargers drafted Cam Hart in the 5th round, Chargers drafted Tarheeb Still in the 5th round and the Chargers drafted Justin Eboigbe from Alabama with the 4th round pick on day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Just to give everybody in here perspective on why you just never know what you're going to get with UDFAs...Kris Dielman, who was a 4-time Pro Bowler guard for the Chargers, as well as Antonio Gates, we're both UDFAs. So you really truly can get Diamonds in the Rough with UDFAs.

No one knows more of the college players (of past 3 to 4 years relating to watching kids progress from F to J or Sr) IN THE NFL than John Harbaugh. He has the most depth of evaluating these prospects as MANY of the prospects this year Harbaugh met, visited and recruiting( not all the best players went to Michigan of losing out to those kids from other schools ) The undrafted FAs has some form of relations to Harbaugh's unique advantage of finding and signing prospects of knowing the prospects past 3 to 4 years. He and GM knows FOOTBALL on a level within the game beyond past decisions makers who were just who they were, Telesco had 2 bosses that did overlooked overall roster.

DUDE that Luke Benson may just be a found golden nugget. As a former pass catching TE seeing that tape, he definitely has some very good receiving technique. Catches the ball away from his body, and tracks it well. Kinda short though @ 6'3

Great analysis on each player. IMO, neither TE makes the 53 man roster. I could see Benson carving his way onto the practice squad though, he definitely has tools to work with, along with size.

Great breakdown. Keep it up. Also, don’t make the mistake of some of the other tubers by making your content more than 12-15 minutes. Less is more. I personally do t have time for an hour of content in one sitting.

I think with the proper coaching/training alot of these guys can be the depth that they need to close out games without sacrificing unnecessary reps from our starters. Harbaugh wants to run the ball and that will wear down on players through the course of the season.

According to Brett Kollman, South Dakota players all say TE Zach Heins have the best hands in the team. Also, a reminder that there's around 4-5 2023 UDFA in the roster right now. This team is very young. There were a lot of undrafted guys on the 700 players consensus board. Most of the UDFA chargers got are not on this list. They must be really good since the chargers selected them instead of the ones who were closer to the 250 drafted in the consensus board.

"He could be competition for that back up QB spot if Stick struggles". All Stick does is struggle. When a dude looks bad in pre-season against backups and the backups to backups...well, yeah. The only reason Stick is on the team is because he's REAL cheap and he knows the Chargers offense (which doesn't seem to help his playing ability).

They just have the practice squad, but yeah they don’t play against each other. They’re just just too many high percentage chance of injuries and that’s the last thing you want is for your practice squad to get injured.
