A Concise Summary of The Charisma Myth in 6 Points: 1. Charisma is a learned skill, not something some people are born with and other aren't. 2. Definition, or Formula, of Charisma: *Power + Warmth + Presence = Charisma* 3. Visualizations prime/trick your body into entering a charismatic mental state, even if you don't think or feel charismatic before you visualize. 4. *Power* Visualization: When you walk into a room or meeting, imagine you are a gorilla. 5. *Warmth* Visualization: Imagine the person/people you are about to meet are angels or have angel wings to foster a sense of goodwill towards them. 6. *Presence* Visualization: Focus on a sensation in your body to give the person/people you are talking to your complete attention and to stop your mind from wandering.

Nice summary! To be more present, for me it works best to focus on the breath than trying to visualize the toe. Just take one deep breath, and then back to the conversation.

Hey man. Just love your reviews/summaries - call them whatever! Been following Oliva for some years now, or I used to, so really look forward to this one and reconnecting with her message! Thanks, P.S I'm going to record a review of your one word by Evan Carmichael, just as you did, so I've been watching your videos for inspiration too. It's so hard to hit on what's relevant in a condensed format. I appreciate what you're doing, even more now when I've realised that. /Alex

It has to be a gorilla? Another thing - crossover from gorilla to warmth and angels is quite an opposite end...:) But alright, those are presuppositions ,some guide lines in which direction you can or should go to emphasize that or to be charismatic, and one can (re)build or create it as it suits for him/her...

I'm not sure if it's this summary or the contents of the book itself, but if the advice to come across as more charismatic is to act like this, rather than being a genuine person who actually cares about people, this is only a short-term solution.

The book is wrong, charisma IS an innate trait. The author is confusing “likability” for charisma. You can polish charisma but you can’t teach it or develop it out of avoid. Oprah doesn’t have charisma. She has likability. They learned to frame Steve Jobs better later in the presentation. Jobs was always a good salesman it’s how he got out of the garage.

This is, by far, the most ridiculous talk given by the Productivity Game. The idea of going into a meeting, visualizing oneself as a gorilla is lame. Regarding angels, they don't have to do good deeds to get their wings. Where are you getting your angelology, from the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life?"
