My father grew up on people like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, David Allen Coe, and Hank Williams, Jr. just to name a few. Mainly southern rockers and outlaws. I’m glad he introduced me to them. I was born In 2003. If it wasn’t for him I’d be listening to this modern pop country bullshit that somehow passes as real country and shit like heavy metal, pop, rap, punk rock and alternative rock. 🤮

A tribute to my dad, 12/20/56-3/24/21 We loved listening to Mr. Charlie Daniels and this was the song my dad used to teach me my greatest life lesson "watch where you're going and remember where you've been. I can't believe it was 41 years ago that me and my best friend went to go see him in concert and it was the BEST CONCERT I had ever seen to this day! We paid $20 each for our tickets and had fantastic seats and the show he put on was phenomenal, better than anyone who dares charge $700 for their concerts! If you were lucky enough to see him live you'd get it and if you didn't you missed a great performer! RIP Charlie Daniels and I sure hope when I die I'll get to see you again strumming along and singing those wonderful songs!

As a 15yr old in 1980, when he had a hit in the UK charts, I discovered CDB. I wanted the single (remember them) TDWDTG and my dad (broke the bank because we were skint) bought me the album. Over the next 10 years I bought them all. The only artist I ever did that for and I remain a huge country fan. RIP Charlie.

I'm hoping this is an alternate mix from the SM album tapes and not some update remix crap. Those CDB albums were finely crafted, no need to f**k with greatness.
