Did anyone else tear up when Cat received her beautiful dress gift? Happy Birthday to you dear Cat and thank you for sharing it with us! I so enjoyed this video, I realized that my face hurt from smiling and laughing when it was all done. Bravo and thank you for all of your cheerfulness!! I caught myself getting so excited about the gravel too! I love seeing the progress and the upholstery on the couch looks stunning! Once again Stephanie, your gut feelings for fabric and decor are right on!! Your channel brings so much happiness to our household. My 21 year old daughter has Down Syndrome and comes running every time she hears that one of your videos is on. Thank you!

Oh Happy Birthday!! Love this channel and talk about it all the time with family and friends as it so has been a blessing for me as an escape in the pandemic. This was probably my favourite episode so far! It's so heartwarming to see the community you have built at LaLande. It made me realise that that is something I definitely want for my future. When i first moved out of my parents house i loved the freedom of being on my own but now in my late twenties, I realise how much I miss having people around me living in the same building. People to talk with over breakfast or cosy up with while watching a movie at night. 💕

Sometimes I wish you would just let the camera roll 24/7. La Lande seems such a magical place filled with people who genuinely care about each other enjoying life. In these dark times of Covid and the beginning of gloomy winter it brings a smile every time. And oh my goodness...Phillip in black eye liner and a sexy tango from Selmar do make the heart go pitty-pat.

When you’re folding in fabric to staple it I cut about half inch or so of card stock or thin cardboard to slip under the fold . It stops fabric from ripping from the staples.

You can actually buy a roll of cardboard just for upholstery. My mother recovered couches and chairs as a business for yrs.

A Bond night??? I LOVE it! The bond girls were amazing, and it looked like such fun. The bond villains , however, were so interesting. All the guys were so creative, BUT Ian really gets the prize. Loved Ian's interpretation of a bond villain. Well done! Glad to see the drive getting it's stone. The stone really makes the Chateau shine. Perfect color. I was stunned when I saw Cat get the dress, but so happy I could not stop smiling. Her joy is infectious, and her angst at the birthday song pranks all day was such a fun time for your viewers. Stephanie's sweetness and caring was so moving when she gave Cat the dress. I think underneath Cat's happy-go-lucky exterior beats a heart of gold and sensitive nature. Everyone looked beautiful all dressed up....Marie and Isabelle were the hot ladies in red. Hanni with the backless dress was smashing. Stephanie and Natti, beautiful as always. The Dutch duo, Selmar and Philip, wow! Michael made me laugh out loud, although I don't know why (might have been the hair). And the purple, feathery gentleman - I bet he's tons of fun at parties. When one dislikes having Happy Birthday sang to them...one never tells anyone...because if you do...you see the result here. Of course it may be that she really LOVES it and has played a GRAND TRICK on all of you so that you would sing it endlessly. Cat does seem to have a quite clever sense of humor. Either way - LOVED this vlog and everything and everyone Lalande.

I was elated to see Cat's birthday present! She was enjoying ''dressing up'' so much that I hoped somehow she would receive one of the beautiful gowns. Plus she really looked lovely in the blue dress. It suited her very well. It is a real pleasure to watch someone who is so sincerely enjoying herself. Stephanie is a wonderful person! She not only noticed Cat's happiness but generously made what would have been a wonderful memory into it a gift which can be treasured for years to come. To see and share in such happiness and kindness is a gift to all of us during these difficult days. Thank you all at the chateau!!!

So fun celebrating Cat's birthday! Happy 25th!! Cat is a great James Bond; and I can't wait to see her wearing the gorgeous medieval dress in coming episodes! If you ever need a party idea, let's say during the thick of winter, think Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. (Remember those costume dresses were cozy warm!) "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to Lalande we go!"
