@@penn15g56 I said if your looking for a budget 144hz monitor it's a good buy. Once you go high refresh rate all 60hz monitors are trash. The Aoc 24g2 and Asus tuf vg249q are the next step up and are great budget 144hz choices too (those are definitely the best bang for the buck 24" 144hz units).

I just got this one, previously was on an old Samsung B2430HD and man what a difference in colors. Now black actually looks black and not grey-ish. Really happy so far, havent tried any games yet and i did read that it has ghosting. But found some useful comments here regarding how to get rid of most of that in settings and also your other video about it so ill check that if needed. Going from 60 Hz to 144 will probably also be pretty awsome, Gsync worked right out of the bat too (im on a Gigabyte RTX 3060) , just changed refresh-rate in advanced display-settings. @@ivanderdev Im very happy with it. and for me, the color-setting "warm" in the menu is my preferred one (sometimes i set the colors manually too, depending on if im gaming or doing something like picture-editing for example). The brightness and contrasts are nice too (its a very bright monitor actually), i have both brightness and contrast set to 50% and i dont need it higher than that. The menus are also very nice and easy to navigate i think. For the price,very worth it in my own opinion, cheers!

@@NickBucks So far, it’s been good and reliable. Right out of the box, it is pretty ghosty, but setting the overdrive to medium will do the trick.

I am a casual gamer who prefers single player games with a gamepad. I don't play fast paced esports games. Will the ghosting problem be very noticeable in my case? I really like the high contrast of this monitor, as well as the absence of problems with the backlight bleeding, as on most IPS (I can not stand it). Thanks!

Tech Round Up yeah the Hp is on sale for $180 (usually $250) I want a new Monitor like tomorrow but $115 isn’t bad but I also don’t know if I want to miss out on a retail $250 on sale you know? I see a lot of people saying this one has ghosting issues? Do you think that would also be a problem as a PS5 call of duty player?

It could be, and there is definitely ghosting but depends on what budget your looking at. For the HP with it being IPS and 1ms response time you really can’t go wrong for $180

I just returned mine because the ghosting and flickering was just insanely bad. It also felt like there was some sort of input delay in my experience.

Was about to mention this. I own a similar AOC monitor which is VA panel. If you are going to play any competitive game, just throw it into the garbage. The ghosting and black smearing will ruin your experience

it is don’t worry im currently using a 34 inch 3440x1440 ultra-wide 144hz for gaming and i want a 19201080 144hz for gaming so im getting this one the ghosting is fixable if you use certain settings it’s almost not noticeable at all

Shucks! I got my AOC G2490VX today, and it has at least two dead pixels! It was listed for $139.xx at Amazon briefly, IIRC, so I got mine with the price slashed. No signs of mishandling. The dead pixels are located on the lower-center-left. I didn't get it listed as "used" or "refurbished".
