Today, we put Duragloss 105 through the Apex Detail Review Process! Duragloss total performance polish is a synthetic polymer/wax formula. Super-tough coating forms a protective barrier which protect against acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings and other environmental pollutants. Duragloss total performance polish is a cleaner and polish in one that improves and protects the paint surface for an incredibly durable finish. The tough, synthetic coating stands up to harsh environmental conditions such as pollution, acid rain, intense sun, sap, and bird droppings. The durable finish protects paint for up to one year. Duragloss total performance polish is so durable that it resists both acidic and alkaline cleaners. When the labels of Duragloss' bug remover and water spot remover say they will not remove durable polishes, this is the durable polish they're referring to. I’ve tried lots of AIO’s and IMO it’s REAL hard to beat HD Speed. It’s correction ability for an all in one is very good while still finishing out great and leaving some protection behind too. It has a very long open work cycle time and can be used in direct sunlight and wipes off effortless with minimal dusting. When it comes to all in ones in my opinion it’s always the one to beat. It can be topped with most of your favorite sealants also with good success. I currently use it and top it with bead maker, as I love the combo, the correction and shine, slickness and gloss when used together is fantastic and very FAST, I can get around a whole car quick using those two products. It’s a great combo. If looking to add a little more durability Megs fast finish and jescar power lock have played well with it in my experience. Keep up the good honest work. Thanks.

I used D105 for years and recommend it to others to this day. Still use their dedicated chemical cleaner once In a while. In fact, the entire Duragloss line is a fantastic value. They used to have flat rate $5 shipping, and still may, sweetening an already great deal. If someone is on a budget look no further. The products have been tested by our community over time, they've been around for a while, with essentially unanimous approval. IMO, the single best low-cost line with no sacrifice in quality.

Big DG Fan here unbeatable for the value and stack with 951 Aquawax as LSP which is more of a gloss booster when done for an amazing wet finish for the dollar.Nothing comes close for the money IMHO. 105 lasted over 6 months in Florida sun and rainfall with regular maintenance washes and Aquawax to keep the wet looking going. Thank you so much for showing that it takes away minimal to no clearcoat when correcting with it. Great channel!

Great video Brian. In the world of "product of the month" I love how you bring back the old school products. These are the ones that get pushed to the back of the shelf but are so good. I have been using the DG line for over 20 years. Another hidden gem is the DG 501 RV/Polish sealant. I used to that on my boat and it cuts amazing and the sealant is super durable.

Duragloss products cure best in 12 to 24 hours. Gloss products like their Clear Coat Polish & Aquawax are noticeably glossier after cure. Also allow cure time before "topping" with any additional product. Great video. Good job. Thanks.

Years ago I tested Duragloss Fast Clean and Shine and Zaino Z6. Identical in smell, color and application. My conclusion was Duragloss was the maker of Zainos products

I called DuraGloss and spoke to one of their chemist about this product, specifically about the "Cute" time. I was told 24 hrs to 48 hrs to cure to its full strength. Was a really cool guy and explained to me how it works and why 601 is so important to use with 105. Personally I live in the SoCal Low Deserts where we are usually the warmest temps in the nation for over half the year around 120F day in and day out. Poly Amino silicone products like 105 have some very good UV protection and is the main reason I use it on my wife's black pick up. After our washes, we top with Aquawax diluted 50/50 with distilled water. We apply the 105/601 combo every 3 months, not because we have to, we just want to have a very good barrier. In comparison, we get about 8 months durability out of CQuartz UK 3.0 and we get easy 3-4 months with 105. Ceramic Coatings are great but are SO TIME CONSUMING with all the steps you need before applying. I just prefer to use 105. Just a great product. If you try it, make sure you buy the 601. What my wife and I do is she applies the 601 with a foam applicator and I follow her with the 105. We get both on the whole truck in about 30 minutes. Then we let it sit for 30-45 minutes then buff off. Then leave it in the garage for at least 24 hrs before going out with it. Anyway, I said enough....Take Care all...

Hi Jeff, can you actually confirm that it does have UV protection in it? I live in Australia in very hot climate and UV protection is very important to me and I'd love to try this combo of Duragloss and see how it manage the heat.

Great video Brian! I've been on Autogeek since Feb of 2012 and Duragloss was my first brand venture when I joined there, previously I had finally tried Zaino after not wanting to for so long. I found DG to be just as easy to apply but much less expensive. When I found and read about #601 it was like the skies opened up...LAYERING! At the time I had a brand new CRZ in Storm metallic silver and I NEVER laid a wheel on that car, just stayed ontop of it from the jump, moved to Klasse AIO and sealant glaze afterwards. In closing I'm pretty sure #111/601 are up next and I'm very excited to see that review, not to mention Aquawax which is a "cult" favorite on AG🕶

Man, I've used that Duragloss 105 for many years and found it to be excellent. Lasts around 6 months normally but it has become antiquated compared to more of the newer products. I have also been using it with the adhesion promotor too. I will always keep a bottle of this awesome stuff handy though.

I've used the Duragloss 101 wet look polish 8oz bottle and the 103 which is the 32oz bottle for 20-25 years. 101 is effortless to wipe off and leaves amazing gloss and slickness. Makes black plastics look better as well.

@@danlc95DG 101 does remove very light oxidation. Cleans the paint as it seals. I use 3D ONE for correcting and DG101 for the sealant. Always looks amazing and has pretty good hydrophobics.

Isn't Duragloss 105 a poly amino silicone? So it can't be layered right? So how do you know when to re apply? Can you top 105 after it cures with P&S Bead Maker after a maintenance wash? Lets say every week to help maintenance this coating?

The pad will always do the bulk of the work. Think of the correction liquid as the assistant.

Great video man, seems like a legit combination! Is this a product you use often? My wife has an Acura TLX and I'm torn between doing an AIO such as this or actually going through multiple steps and a consumer grade coating. It's daily driven and garage kept while not in motion, I'm not trying to create a show car but want it to look as nice as possible for as long as possible. What would you recommend to me?

Save that clear and just do an effective one step. 3D ONE should do it. Protect with Kamikaze ISM or Mayabi.

Any idea’s Sanding out orange peel on my father 51 Pontiac. He decided he liked the look of the wet sanded black paint, which is good because there is all kinds of trash in his old cheap paint job. Any ideas on a sealant that would maintain the matte finish he likes ?

Anyone who has trouble removing the residue of any DG polish after applying etc. - especially in warmer climate - DON'T USE THE 601 CURING AGENT!! I just about threw away my Duragloss because I had terrible trouble removing the residue after application - then it dawned on me to NOT use ANY 601 curing agent and it was a completely different story... ANY 601 curing agent - either mixed with the polish OR rubbed into the paint first - makes it a miserable experience to try to remove the polish residue and get high gloss after application. DG polish ON ITS OWN is FANTASTIC!!

Hey mate, is there a wax or sealant (not coating) that truly lasts a year as manufacturer states on package? I know there are lots of variables to this question but the manufacturers don’t state what the maintenance requirement is that leads to a years worth of protection with their products.

I can't stand using AIO's because they don't completely wash out of the pad. The only AIO I will use nowadays is P&S playmaker. I've never seen an AIO wash out of a pad easier than playmaker. It's kind of shocking at first.

Eurofiber 50 50 pads better than foam pads? I use Scholl Concepts Navy Blue Spider Pads, but I hear everyone talking about and using the microfibre pads.

I would go with the DPC. I have used both. The TAC gives the best beading I have ever seen but I feel the DPC is a little more durable and does a better job with imperfections. Not sure you can go wrong with either. Good luck!

Hung Nguyen TAC moonlight it is so easy to apply, I use it on trim, wheels and paint. A little goes a long way.

TAC Moonlight is my go to ceramic. It delivers tons of value to the customer, with a no fuss application - I use it in the direct sun regularly.

Never had any issues with it. I reach for it when somebody just wants to increase gloss and clarity. A little goes a long way. It removes some minor imperfections and finishes out nice and leaves some protection. I top it with Beadmaker and try to set them up on a maintenance program.
