The plain black versions of the bumpers are fairly cheap as well. $67 for a 45lb bumper and $53 for a 35lb bumper. I will probably buy those at some point in the next few months.

The issue I had with these (which almost looks like yours is the same from the video). Is that the plates weren't all the same dimension and were slightly off from one another. Unfortunately the one that was the most "off" from the others was the 15 lb plate. I was really concerned that over time it was going to start bending and bowing around the outer edge as it would be taking pretty much all of the initial weight if put on the floor. If you don't use them on the floor maybe that wouldn't be much of a concern. Have you noticed any issues with that in use?

It's been about six months since they were bought and the only ones that "bend" with mine are the 10's. There was another guy or gal who commented that they also had some issues with their 15's but they returned them to the manufacturer very easily. With that said, I have a "Short Reel" video on my channel under "Informative Shorts" that covers the weight of each plate. Most all of mine came out to be the exact or near enough weight except one set I think. Hope this helps! Thanks for commenting 👍

@@TheIronMason Thank you for responding. I'm glad to hear you have had good experiences with them. My issue with the 15's wasn't so much that they weren't calibrated properly for weight...but that the dimension of them is larger than the rest. Like the 15lb mold doesn't use the same diameter as the molds for the other plates, so when you have the 15's on the bar they take all of the weight because they are bigger and I'm concerned about them getting smashed on the outer edge over time. So far I've compared them to 10's and 25's...I haven't held them up to any 45's or 55's yet to see. I guess if the 45's or 55's are as large or larger in diameter than maybe it won't be as big of an issue.

@takamine0427 I haven't had the same experience. Based on your experience it seems like the 15's are like an inch or two larger, which I agree is concerning. My biggest advice would be to _definitely_ reach out to where you bought them from and tell them your concerns. One other person on here seemed to have gotten a great response! In the meantime, throw some half-dollars on the bar and get after it 🤘suns out guns out!

Are these urethane? I don't see it advertised as that specifically anywhere. Either way, I think they're a great deal. And they've been on sale for a dollar a pound fairly often. I plan on waiting for when one of those sales happen and buy some.

The 45s will crack at the edge seams all the way to the metal if you use them like real bumpers. Don’t get these go with hi temps or titan ~ trust me. I’ve used for 2 years they are garbage.

i looked and was excited when i heard the price bc i was hoping the 160 lb set would be about 300 bucks but i look and it’s almost 700 bc its bundled together but not saving anything so that’s annoying

I noticed that they bumped them up a few weeks after I uploaded my video. I'm not saying my video had anything to do with it, but I'm not not saying that lol. I would also take a look at the Rogue Echo plates because you can get a 260lb set for about $590, and they usually stay pretty steady there. I would also recommend giving "Fitness First: Crumb Rubber Bumpers" a look at. You can find them on Amazon here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZLD3ZFQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AKTIG9H3FIG6W&psc=1 I wouldn't buy a 260lb set of Fitness First plates because all together you'd probably spend about $800+. However, with this particular brand you have the option to buy them individually for stupid cheap. Hope this helps!

Want to buy 10 or 15 lbs plates. I don’t do Olympic lifts or drop them from shoulder height. Only do deadlifts. Would you recommend these 10:15 plates for this type of training? Thanks.

It depends on how much weight you're doing. If you are ONLY lifting the 10s and 15s I'd recommend Crumb Rubber Bumper Plates, which you can buy pretty cheap on Amazon. If you are going to be lifting with 35s and 45s already on the bar then in that instance for sure I'd recommend the 10s and 15s from this brand. I would NOT recommend buying 10s and 15s from this company if you'll only be using the 10s and 15s to perform your lifts. I hope this makes sense?

I just bought a set of the 10 pound plates to see what they are like and they are good but not great but for my use they are fine . The metal disc insert and the rubber didn’t meet up seamlessly on one side of both 10's

I haven't! That's pretty wild. The 10s definitely arn't the most durable i've seen but then again 10s arn't meant to be on the bar alone lol I'm assuming they have them on the bar by themselves?

@@TheIronMason no they just be folded in half with someone’s bare hands. But they have definitely tacoed on the bars as well. Some companies make 10s that can be dropped and are guaranteed, but they also are not the cheapest available.

The inside of the ring will fit Olympic bars. The size of the ring was in reference to the outside edges and how much of the total of the weight is filled with an inner metal hub. Does that make sense?

You said at the beginning of the video cheap plates can be a couple pounds off. That's my biggest concern. If the left is 4 pound lighter than the right (for example 2 pounds less on the left, 2 pounds more on the right), that would be a problem, and could cause injury... Did you weigh the plates to check how accurate they are?

I haven't yet, I could definitely do that Tuesday and post a short on the channel for a quick update. I bought them after making 260lbs of concrete weights. For me, the weight being off by a few pounds wasn't a big deal because the concrete weights I made we're already like that. I just wanted rubber ones I could thrown on and go. None of them feel off if they are, and if they did I'd probably put the heavier on my left side since it's weakest lol 😆 but I could definitely post an update on Tuesday to the "informative shorts" playlist.

@@TheIronMason I weighed my 45s, one is 44.1 and the other 44.8, but there is probably some error from my scale too... The 25 were pretty close, 24.9. Overall, that's quite good.

They're a solid plate! They're is a little bit of variation in quality but that's to be expected from these plates. The goal was to get bumper plates for CHEAP so I could get lifting quickly. If that was your goal as well then you should have a great time with these plates 💪
