I’ve been buying Skmei watches just for harvesting the cool metal straps they come with. You should check out their copies of the Casio W 800 and the others, they come with great metal straps in different colors.

Haha, Cheers Carlo! 😁 I actually chucked the old Royale resin strap onto the SKMEI, so I still have 2 complete watches… It probably won’t get much wrist time though 😛

Does the Skmei use a 10 year CR2016 like the Casio ??

@@edwardfletcher7790 My understanding is that it is not the battery itself which provides the 10-Year battery life, but rather the technology of the watch itself. By being optimal with its power consumption, it may be able to achieve this. It would surprise me if SKMEI had achieved the same effect as Casio here!

@@goatreviews It's mainly the battery mate. A CR2016 battery has about 6 x the capacity of a tiny little SR927. I'm a watch collector. I've never seen a 10 year watch without a CR20xx battery. Casio uses the same standard chips all the other major watch companies do (not Skmei). But very very few of the other companies use the CR20xx series batteries like Casio.

Unfortunately, it does not seem so. I could not get the modules to fit in each other! So it might need some trimming.

@@goatreviews Np. Misunderstanding. Even PVD coating can scratch, harder but it can. That bracelet is surely not PVD at that price point. Take care and, most of all, enjoy it !

@@goatreviews I found it easy enough. Caution has to be paid that the spring bars don't shoot off. I had to remove links too which was no problem just push them out. It is a cheap strap but it does elevate the watch tremendously. I don't know why Casio doesn't make Black strap when they produce a silver one for these watches?. If for business only because companies like Skmei are kinda cashing in on Casio's product and the trend to modify them.

I own another Skmei on a metal bracelet and yeah, the bracelet quality sucks. Also, you're expecting people to buy a whole new watch just to take the bracelet off. Seems incredibly wasteful.

I consider it a good-value alternative to some of the more expensive options. 😅 It may seem wasteful, but for $9 USD, the price is worth it for the strap alone. Also, my old rubber straps from the Royale went straight to the SKMEI! I’m sure others will likely do the same thing 😁 Thanks for weighing in, FSH! 🙏
