Pittsburgh Angler I was using a frog broke off and I spooled everything with 65 pound brade over kill I think not 😂

I understand your frustration when that fish broke the eight pound mono line. Just this past Monday (10/1/18) I lost a nice size bass when my eight pound mono broke. Was fishing that same lake at the causeway, on the side away from the campground. Did manage to land a 2.35 pound bass (that's what the scale displayed) on the campground side a little later. Started the day out at the culvert but could not catch a cold there.

I got a 20-pack of those frogs for $20 on amazon. There are 3 sizes and they're mostly all the same color on bottom, but they have sharp hooks and catch fish.

I feel like the line popped because of the edges of that lure, maybe try putting a small snap swivel on there next time.

I have one similar to that swimbait remove the treble hooks and the action gets better my issue is the weight its to heavy to fish shallow and slow and I don't have deep ponds in this town only good in deep water situations

Love this video. I would check out Wish.com or the Wish App...you can get the same cheap lures but only have to pay $2-3 for shipping. The price will be listed as "Free". They do come from China and could take up to a month to receive...but hey...saving money!

i love how you show us underwater footage of the baits, especialy how you reel them so fast you cant even see the dang thing. its kinda counter productive considering your trying to show us the action. also swimbaits are suppose to be fished slower.

i catch catfish with mackerel dipped in stink bait, and trout with nightcrawlers, chicken liver, or SOMETIMES every once in a blue moon i'll catch something with powerbait. Neither one of those fish will touch anything fake.

@@anonyninja7737 there are plenty of KZfaq vids showing people catching catfish on swimbaits and jigs. And trout will eat tons of artificial stuff. They're the reason fly fishing was invented. There are almost as many trout lures as bass lures. You can catch almost any fish on artificial baits with the right presentation and timing. Btw, every realistic test I've ever seen with stinkbait shows exactly no advantage to using it. Try plain cut bait. I bet it will be as effective and cheaper and less nasty.
