I don't go to Church on a regular basis. I sin. I work in my Financial Career wayyyy too much. I cuss too much. I have horrible habits. I'm often consumed by money and success. I watch things that I shouldn't. I don't read the Bible. Then, I heard about "The Chosen". I can't quit watching it! Jesus Christ was a REAL human who laughed, cried, danced, performed REAL and tangible miracles, led and taught people, who treated sinners and those less worthy with kindness and compassion. Because of Christ, I'm on a mission to lead a MUCH better life (for a thousand reasons). This series is REALLY helping me on my journey!!! 🙏

Yo when Simon made up in his mind to "step out on faith" even his friends were telling him not to. That part spoke big time, because we have friends that see you making a decision to follow Christ, but will do the exact same thing to us. I've seen this happen to so many people. Once you make a decision and post it for the world to see, you'll definitely get people (even friends) calling you crazy. STEP OUT ON FAITH, HE'LL GIVE YOU REST!!!!!

@@kimberlywiederhold627 You are right, of course. The Chosen is not the Bible read aloud. Dallas has said this many times. Many parts of this scene are human-written fiction. Including the friends counselling against stepping out on faith as Daniel pointed out. To a still-troubled Simon, who doesn't yet have it all worked out, hasn't yet fully surrendered. That Jesus would and could bear him up, knowing that was not his problem. And yet, even stepping out on faith, Simon's faith was not quite where it needed to be. He had the power of Jesus down pat. But he still had a ways to go concerning Jesus' wisdom and love. And Simon still got distracted by the wind and the waves and began to sink. And in this stumbling, which paralleled Simon's disagreement with Jesus' decisions and priorities, and in Jesus' response, we see a great example and lesson about why God allows suffering in the lives of His people. To strengthen us. Because He loves us. Yes, not all the parts of this scene, its backstories, its subtext, its emotion -- not all of this is in the Bible. It is a fiction, based on the Bible. It is not inspired, as the Bible is. Doesn't make it any less inspiring....

Remember, this is a movie, and it’s overall good, with the actors, actress, doing what they do best, portraying specific roles. I like it. 👍😍… Inspired by what was written in the Holy Bible… The Holy Scriptures which was written for our instructions… originated, from those who were there to experience, witness, during those times… with the purpose of spreading the ‘WORD’, ‘ THE GOOD NEWS ‘… All about ‘God’ … His wonders and might. 🙏❤️🤩… Why ‘He ( Jesus, our Lord, God and saviour )’ came, showing us the way towards him, leaving a promise of eternity in His heavenly kingdom, in time, as He wills. For God loves us and wants us to be with Him. 🙏❤️ A promise, something to hold on to, to look forward to, to hope for. 🙏🙏🙏 In this lifetime, we need strength that God provides, to be able to resist temptations, which is all around us, strength to endure and overcome any trials in life that comes in front of us. *** Just look at what’s happening in some parts of the world right now. 😒 🌍. What’s great is that, there is always hope, for everyone has good in them, that just need to surface, resurface. 🕯️ 😊 Not easy, for we could stumble and fall any moment, given time. But gather enough strength from within, and from those around us, we have chances, opportunities to get up and go on living our precious lives, if we will. 🙏👍… until our time runs out… until then. 🌈❤️❤️❤️ We can ponder, meditate. 🤔 💭 🧐 We were given free will, and choices, decisions to be made. Hope and pray whatever we choose to do, in words and in deeds… will be pleasing in Gods eyes… For He is watching, listening all the time. Lovingly watching over us *** for He is good, kind, compassionate, gracious, forgiving and merciful. 🙏❤️ Forever grateful Lord. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ Just like anything we aspire for, we need to work towards it, continue working on it… especially, on a bumpy road. 😊🧐 If only we could all find ways making peace with one another, discarding hatred, greed, jealousy, criticism, selfishness, etc. 😯 😎 Boastful? … Everything is in God’s glory… If not for him, we wouldn’t be here, without him we have nothing. I loved this episode. The scene of the cleansing of Eden, and at the same time, Jesus stills the storm and Simon walks on the water to Jesus, and how the interaction of Eden reaching down in the water to save Simon. Wow, awesome !

I'm sitting here watching with my husband who is in the last stages of his life and when it shows Jesus walking on water with the lightning flashing behind him I think that's how he will be coming for my husband. Of course I start squalling. It hurts tremendously but is also a comfort.

This series has touched and mirrored my faith way in so many ways. That cry of Peter "do not let me go" that cry I cried out in prayer when I was 13. I did leave the faith 10 years later. BUT he did bring me back 30 years after that prayer. I was allowed to meet Him. He said " fear not", just as he said to Mary in season 1. And I did not say but felt leave me I am sinfull. Just like Peter said. And He took that feeling away and filled me with love and awe. I am awed by this series totally blown away.

I recently moved from Oklahoma to Oregon back in October 2023 AND with ALL enemies attacks, this is MY first chance to watch/listen! Ive SO missed The Chosen and Isaiah channel! The compassion of Jesus comforting Simon really hit home for me. My wife and I lost our child in the same manner that Eden did. We were so grieved all day and night. I didn't know what to say to our 5yr daughter without crying. I didn't want her to feel the sorrow and pain we were going thru so we waited a few days before telling our daughter and attempted to explain what happened to her sister or brother. She wanted a sister to play with and to be bunked up together in her bedroom. It was very difficult because she was so excited about having a brother or sister and would talk about everyday. We decided not to know if it was going to be a boy or girl. before the birth, she clearly wanted a sister. The night it happened I asked God to please please don't let me go, I'm sorry, don't leave us, don't let me go. And he didn't. He blessed us the following year with a beautiful son. God revealed signs and messages for us. To let us know everything will be fine and that our daughter was with him. On the second night after it happened, my wife said she had a dream of an elderly women holding a baby in her arms and gently rocking the baby. She said the women told her in a language she did not know but understood what she was saying. The women told my wife that the baby is there in heaven and that she will be waiting for her mommy and daddy and sister. I was looking at some older pictures in a family album and my wife gasped and said "stop that's her" she identified my grandmother to be the women in her dream. My wife did not know my grandmother nor had she ever met her. She died 10yrs before we were married. Strange but true. Many other things happened as well during that week. Thank you Lord

6th or 7th time watching this and can’t help bawling my eyes out for Eden and Simon. So many lessons about the inscrutability of God. We can’t know his ways, but he is always with us.

Simon holding onto Jesus at the end and begging not to be let go broke me, it had me in tears. After which Jesus rebukes the storm which always blew me away when reading it. The creator taking absolute control of his creation with two words - "Be Still!". Glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. P.s The words I scream in my heart every evening..."Please don't let me go!!!".

I cried like a baby ! in some way, I feel like Simon less than and this episode made me realize how much Jesus sees in me, and that he never gave up on me and he’ll never leave me.

I am really grateful to the makers of this film for such an excellent idea to bring the Bible's stories to the screen and allow millions of people to watch it for free, by what some went to know the Word of God and those who know it already - to refresh their faith! After Season 3 and I was leaving the doctor's office it was pouring rain and the wind blowing so hard I couldn't walk to find my car in the parking lot. I remembered Jesus walking on the rough sea in the chosen and I yelled loud, "PEACE BE STILL!! The rain, bushes, trees, and wind immediately stopped and I found my car within seconds. I drove home shaking and thanking God for having experienced a miracle! Kathy Storrie

I cannot explain how my husband and I feel after watching this, amazing. I cannot help but feel that those writing the dialogue are inspired. Thus is a special gift to all of us. The closest we can come to knowing what all this divine history was actually like.

After rewatching this episode a lot of times , I now realize that when Eden says “don’t let him go”, she’s not asking Jesus the same way Simon does, she’s praying Simon doesn’t let go of Jesus because he’s so angry .. and the sad part is that he does when he denies him three times 😢

I love this movie and the best part was all the miracles of what has happened. in different scenes I am a Roman Catholic I went to Catholic school and my mother is a very strict when I was growing up.everyday er have to do the rosary. and can not be out side after 6 p.m. this show really needed to be watch, so they can understand the true meaning of our life here on earth.. People all over the world need to to have RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING. SO LOVE THEN WE CAN HAVE THE PEACE IN OUR HEARTS AND IN THE WHOLE WORLD. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS MOVIE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
