Heathers is one of Slater's first movies (1989) which also starred Wynona Ryder. It is also one of the most memorable. I liked it and would recommend it.

How old are you, like 10? True Romance and Heathers are his most successful and renown roles. He was a top star in the 80s-90s.

Its not a chat show, this is the only bit in an hour they talk to a guest, they move the audience around the studio for different segments.

This is what I found on Wikipedia: Along with the official announcement of Top Gear was the announcement of the hosts of the show; Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Stromer. Can anyone validate this lineup?

i really don't know why people think christian slater is a crap actor the only film he did crap in was 'alone in the dark' and that's only cos it was directed by Uwe Boll (more like Teri Boll) who gave him a terrible script. i was wondering why he wasn't doing any films, now i know that he's doing plays

You know there is a rumor that says Jay Leno may host the American version. Last I checked Leno has more cars, a larger garage and restored more cars than Clarkson, Hammond, and May combined. If Leno becomes the American host he may have a thing or two to teach. He has restored electric, steam and internal combustion cars that span a period of over 200 years.

I agree IN PART with you regarding Americans response to getting a giggle at us Brits... to a point. Having lived in The US for over 5 years I can tell you it is always very light hearted and they would squirm if they thought you were really taking offense. However that is not my point. My point was with regard to the fact that this drip feed slagging was on a national TV. If a national TV program in the US did that their would be an outcry. Say what you want but that's a fact.

@UnitedKingdomify Sorry didn't have enough space.. Anyway, I'm 15 and the entertaining side means a lot to me, and these guys are while talking abour cars more or less. I know they're not the best about cars, but they are good enough for me. The thing is, for a show to interest me, I need its content and the guys who present it to be fine in my opinion, other wise, which is why I don't really watch Fifth gear, because I'm not really fond of Tiff. I could keep on talking but not enough space...

@UnitedKingdomify Yeah i get your meaning. I know they're completely old fashion, just old actually, but they have a real chemestry between them in the show, you know, they're all charismatic, and i love their humour. It's true that they aren't the guys who know the best about cars, and that if I really wanted to buy a car I'd go watch Fifth Gear, then Top gear, just to see what they say about the car I'm itnerested in. But then I'm 15, I like the entertaining side of their show.

Yeah I read that after I made the comment you responded to. Disappointing because Jay is a wealth of information about cars and is openminded to most car makes. He's not a fan of Ferrari I hear. Leno should not have Clarson's persona they are totally different people. Sponsorship should have an affect on how the American version is biased, that I don't like. I positively love it when Jeremy rants about a bad car! No the Americans get Adam Carolla, funny but, lacks Clarkson's passion.

The wittier and funnier the better. Corolla is hilarious I just have a hard time imagining him driving a car like Clarkson or Hammond. He could be the James May of the crew, (just not as intellectual). I've heard Leno is on the fence and favors not doing the show. I think that would be sad, his experience and humor would be great assets. Has anyone heard who they could tap for the third personality for the American version of Top Gear?

That's what celebrities and celebrity has-beens and wannabe's are, they are there to supplement for a life because 75% of us are mentally and spiritually dead and are busy working 60 to 100 hours a week to make a handful of people who own property but don't work even richer so they can run our government for us while we continue to pay for their mansions and private jets.

He did declare war on America. AFTER the Japanese had bombed pearl Harbour, and when te Americans had built up a fleet of aircraft carriers to attack Japan with. When America was building an army, that was when Hitler declared War on them.
