I absolutely love this movie it's not just a great story its also great acting its one of the best christmas movie's ive seen for a long i can't stop watching it's a great thank you to all the veterans who fought for their country

I love the way Ed Asner says Grace at the dinner table..he is so kind and loving to his family and guest through out the movie...he loves his family and Cody....the family is sooooo great and sweet!

Ed is so happy that Cody is here and especially after he sees the card his daughter sent him ... Wait until she finds out and I ..love that Ed says grace too. .

One of my favorite Christmas movies! I watch it every year. RIP Ed Asner and Lois Nettleton. Interesting fact: This was Lois Nettleton's last role before she passed in January 2008.

I also love the fact that they set a great example of what family should be like .there is no swearing, church is so important, pure and simple no "F" word which has got to be the one of the most vulgar words ever created in our vocabulary.. The atmosphere is cherie, and the air is filled with laughter and kind words, and comlinentary towards everyone.😊

What a lovely movie. Great actors too. There is another logging /mill movie like this, I kept thinking this was it, but if I remember correctly, it had more mill scenes in it and some drama about the mill going under...but the girl and guy got together and worked it, to carry on the family legacy.

I love this movie.....even if it is not exactly Christmas on this warm June day. I would like respond to some of the replies implicating the lack of spontanuity regarding Cody. One should always leave things to the individual's imagination, be it in the writing as well as in the acting of the artists. Never forget that the most beautiful things are said in total silence, the eyes and the facial expressions tell more than words can ever convey. The real art in writing.....and acting.....is, what's not said or shown. We are creatures with emotions.....we feel. From B.C. Canada

I believe it was 2006/7 and this is the Christmas movie that put me on the train, of binge watching yearly Hallmark movies (even my wife gets annoyed at my affinity for Hallmark Christmas movie binging). It holds a special place in my heart for several reasons, one of the most important being that it renewed the spirit of Christmas, in my heart and in my soul. It's been years since KZfaq didn't get in this glorious Christmas movie and put tons of loud offensive ads but this morning during my early Saturday breakfast and dealing with some😥issues in my life I got lucky, not 1 ad a💓💓💓 complete film plus crystal clear on the video💓and no zooming in and out! This is my new favorite Christmas movie The Christmas Card. Every one of the principal actors played their roles to perfection. Emotional and evocative performances by the young leads. Sterling, solid and nuanced performances by Ed Asner and Lois Nettleton. Would like to have read the names of the cast. Excellent movie - one that has attained classic status.

I like to read the credits of a good movie too and several of these movies don’t run them so I Google those. Yesterday I watched Annie’s Point (excellent movie) with Betty White and Richard Thomas and it didn’t give the title or the plot so I googled their names and it popped right up!! 🤓

I have loved this movie for years! I have a friend - anther Adria believe it or not - who lives in Nevada City and remembers the filming. this is written well, acted well, and leaves one with a happy feeling of hope for good things prevailing over bad things. It is worth watching over again. I only wish the male lead did more movies but evidently he gave up acting for something else. Our loss.
