What’s happening in this “The Chronicles of Riddick” movie clip?
Lord Marshal (Colm Feore from Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould) orders Riddick's death but Riddick shoots his way out of the ship back onto the Helion Prime surface. We see a Necromonger battleship chasing Riddick through the streets. We then see rockets hitting the battleship sending it crashing to the ground. We find out the rockets came from Toombs’ new crew of Merc's. They capture Riddick and take them back to Toomb's ship.

What’s the movie “The Chronicles of Riddick” about?
When Riddick (Vin Diesel from the Fast and Furious franchise), a Furian mercenary, is recaptured by Toombs (Nick Chinlund), he is taken to a prison moon, Crematoria. However, Jack (Alexa Davalos from Feast of Love and The Mist), a girl Riddick rescued, is locked up in Crematoria as well, and she’s willing to escape.

Riddick is obviously a badass, but major respect to Toombs for going to a planet, currently being invaded, to grab Riddick, the guy who soloed him and his 4 man crew less than a month ago

It took me almost 20 years to realize it, but it’s possible the reason why the dude turns off the gravity holder to free Riddick is because we later find out he’s a Furian looking for freedom too.

Are there two versions of this film? I remember some scenes a bit differently. And I definitly scene them too not so long ago. Maybe directors cut?

yea the directors cut changed the ending and some of the scenes. there's two versions

Oh god, this is so weird, I think its' like a theatrical and director's cut thing or something, on Netflix the quasi-dead voices are all lighter and more feminine (and not distorted), and Lord Marshal clearly says (and is subtitled saying) "kill Riddick"(in a much deeper voice, roflmfao) instead of repeating the quasi-deads in saying "kill the Riddick" as you can sorta hear above. That, and some other small differences between the cuts, make for a different watching experience, TBH.

This movie takes from/pays homage to old Hollywood films and comics a little (IMO) in it's direction/imagery. Some of that may be lost on the younger generation.
