We're baaaaaackkkk! 2016 was a spectacular year and 2017 is off to a great start with my annual trek back to Japan for the Tokyo Auto Salon event. I've gone for the last 5 years now and I just don't think my life would be complete without attending TAS every year. Many have come and gone, experienced Japan with no aspirations to go back again, but the country is like a second home to me and I look forward to every trip back there. It only makes sense that we kick off the 2017 season of the Vlog series in Japan because there is just so much awesome that comes from there...
In Part 1, Tiffanie and I arrive in Tokyo to meet up with Yuta and our Japanese friend Chiba. Yuta had already been in Japan prior to our arrival to spend time with his mom. After we arrive, we grab some delicious food as usual and we dive right into our automotive adventures. I always try to make a stop over at Spoon Sports and Type One whenever I am in Japan, so I spent my first full day in Tokyo doing car stuff and visiting Type One. They were doing some renovations to the shop, and there weren't really any new builds there that needed documentation, so our visit was brief. Spoon is more of the logistical side of the business with few things to see so I decided to skip that visit. After Type One, we stop by a couple of other spots and check out the cars at the various stops. As usual, this series will be multiple parts since I spent about 10 days in Japan. Tokyo Auto Salon is the main attraction of course, but there is so much more to come. Enjoy and welcome back.
