The Stealth loop from Ciro Mazzoni Radiocomunicazioni, a quick look and a listen.. really pleased with the performance from such a small antenna, I suspect this will be a big hit..

Managed to play with mine and compare it to my chameleon f loop 2.0 plus, I think the stealth loop is more suited for outdoors, indoors the f loop is better at rx than stealth and also tx is better on f loop, if tested it multiple times where I cannot get qso with a station in stealth but on f loop I get one easy with the same station. I have no been able to test outdoors yet but I suspect as the capacitor is at the top on the stealth the angle of radiation points downwards and reflects off the earth's ground where the f loop has its capacitor bottom mounted reflecting radiation upwards. This is probably why ciro mazonni state in manual outdoor use only.

Thanks for the video,Dx Engineering in the USA, has informed me there's a delay on getting my stealth Loop, but I was impressed with your video, I already have the baby Loop, and I'm looking forward to getting my stealth Loop I was supposed to get it October 30th but there's a delay till November 27th, I haven't seen any RF plots regarding this loop, but your video was a very helpful in demonstrating that it works as well probably as my baby Loop does. 73 de Gerry kg8hz

Did you ever get your stealth loop? How did the performance compare to the baby loop?

Nice video Gary... your channel deserves more views. How much are these loops affected by nearby metallic objects? What’s your take on the ground plane sheet being needed? I don’t see other magnetic loops needing a ground plane to sit on.

I agree lol, I have never used a sheet, but worth playing with.. Gaz

Reading a reviewer on this page: MMX2 a year ago. Is this antenna more suited for outdoor use or will it work okay in my attic?
@TheGazLab3 жыл бұрын
The stealth loop is intended to be put outside, it’s such a difficult thing to suggest an antenna for a loft as nothing will work 100 percent

Would have been good to show us what’s connected where and more on what you get in the box once you’ve purchased it also where it can be mounted I’m living in an apartment with a balcony on 34th floor Thanks

Most loops are completely circular but this one is more of a diamond shape. Do you think it compares equally or better or worse than a completely circular loop?
@TheGazLab3 жыл бұрын
that's a question, I can't say for sure.. however I have read a lot on these things and it appears to be neither here nor there.. interesting experiment tho to try and find out..

Trying to lower the swr. Loop is outdoors on a metal screen 63" by 30" per DX Engineering. Any suggestions? I unscrewed the legs so they were out the max with the top end of the screws flush with the metal plate. SWR readings are: 7074 kHz 2.0 10136 kHz 1.214074 kHz 2.118100 kHz 1.521074 kHz 1.724915 kHz 2.528074 kHz 1.529600 kHz 2.5

Get rid of the metal screen .. try again.. I've never heard of that being needed .. Try another feeder cable and ensure your polarity is correct.. Gaz

I'm sort of wanting to buy one of these as i live in a flat but there's still not enough video's from the uk demonstrating this antenna how does it compare with the baby loop? what coax lengths recommended for this loop does it get fussy on placement these are some of my questions that as yet haven't yet been answered ive emailed one seller and got no response so wont be buying from them if they cant be bothered to reply .

Hey, just received mine, which is correct way to connect the motor wires, there is no label on the atu, manual doesn't state either, thanks
@TheGazLab4 жыл бұрын
ah ah! you need to read the instructions! lol when you do the test (manual mode) 9 opens the loop and 3 closes the loop, if it does opposite swap the polarity :-) just be aware TXing with another antenna near by you must isolate the control box from the loop.. Gaz
