In this episode of The City, Ralph rides for the night in Miami's Flagami neighborhood with Sgt. Mogro where they run into a domestic violence in progress, a warrant arrest, a group of juveniles out at 3am & more.

Awesome Sergeant. He seems like a no BS type of guy but he isn’t abusing his power. If the parents can come get the kid that’s great. Same for the guy arrested on his warrant. They could have towed his vehicle but he gave his officers options and tried to help the guy out WHEN they can

I would hope the City of Miami had a 100% use of body armor policy. If not, they need to. If so, supervisor's should lead by example, especially when it's about officer safety and such a simple safety apparatus to use.

The juvenile that ran after falling from his bike. He did wrong for being out and lying to his mother. Who knows what him and his friends might have been up to. But at least he admitted he was wrong. And respected his mother and the officer.

Not sure why Officers never-mind a Sergeant, do not wear body armor. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. Not a good example for their agency.

At the very least, FSS 316.2065 (7) Every bicycle in use between sunset and sunrise shall be equipped with a lamp on the front exhibiting a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front and a lamp and reflector on the rear each exhibiting a red light visible from a distance of 600 feet to the rear. Punishable by issuance of a Florida Uniform Traffic Citation. * AND *, Miami-Dade County Ordinance- ARTICLE XIII- JUVENILE CURFEW PROGRAM. Punishable by a civil citation (for tracking puposes), on the third offense, Miami police can fine the parents of the minor up to $500

Yes, and as you saw once we activated our lights they began to flee from us. Which is a red flag. After investigating and not finding anything criminal (aside from fleeing) we still gave him the opportunity to go home instead of jail. -Ralph
